 Job Objectives

Installs, services, and repairs electrical equipment at customer sites using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools following layout drawings and manufacturer€™s instructions, and utilizing electrical knowledge. Good communication skills and positive attitude. Conveyor and/or material handling experience preferred.

 

Position Responsibilities

100% Travel Required

Works under general supervision on duties and tasks that reflect substantial variety and complexity. Adhering to all safety procedures and policies.

Ability to lift up to 50lbs, climb ladders and work at heights up to 40ft.

Ability to stand or walk on concrete or steel grating for an entire shift. Willing to work continuous 58-hour work weeks.

Able to perform and teach:

Read and understand electrical schematics and device layout drawings

Perform layout of control panels for conduit routing and pull sheets.

Perform detailed material take offs to figure conduit, wire, wireway and associated fittings to complete any given project.

Maintain general electrical installation standards as it pertains to Honeywell and customer standards.

Advanced knowledge of conduit routing and bending and the ability to train others to accomplish quality work in this area.

Repairs or replaces worn or defective equipment/machinery.

Modifies previously installed equipment/machinery to ensure compatibility with new units.

Conducts investigative tests, repairs, and rework of existing equipment.

Should possess advanced electrical troubleshooting skills.

Advanced knowledge of electrical theory and NEC (NFPA70, NFPA70E and NFPA79).

Supply own electrical hand tools per provided list below. Ability to operate power tools that will be supplied.

Applies mastery of skills and adapts procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and/or equipment, as appropriate to area of specialization.

Demonstrates proven knowledge with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within conveyor system installations.

Documents all inspections, maintenance and repair work, and failures.

Reads drawings and completes proper layout of conduit routing.

May be asked to act as a lead man on smaller projects or direct 10-20 employees on larger projects.

Documents tasks and progress using Excel and/or Word.

Communicates progress/issues to Supervision.

Fills in for Installation Supervisor during absences as needed.

Works with Customer directly if working off shift or Supervisor absence as required.

Maintain housekeeping and general clean up duties throughout the site.

 

 

 

 

 

MUST HAVE
  • Requires 5+ years of experience and/or training in conveyor\rindustry. Desire to advance electrical trade skills.
  • 100% Travel Required.

      Cut resistant gloves (provided by Honeywell)
      Jeans/work pants
      No skirts or shorts
      No overly loose or tight garments
      Long hair tied up at all times while onsite
