**POSITION DESCRIPTION:**


Direct the financial
functions of the RTG Kanghui business to meet its business objectives,
including strategic and annual operating financial planning, forecasting, and
analyses. Identify, analyze, communicate and resolve major financial issues,
which impact business objectives. To provide financial leadership and
analytical support that will lead implementation of business strategies,
tactics, and annual plans.


**POSITIONRESPONSIBILITIES:**


+ Direct all aspects of financial analysis, accounting and reportingof the Global RTG Kanghui business, including ownership of the WW PL.

+ Partner directly with the General Manager to build and meet globalbusiness objectives.

+ Partner directly with functions reporting to the General Manager,global marketing and RD.Partnerwith RTG Greater China and RTG FPA Finance in the strategic planning,annual planning and execution for the commercial organization and productlaunches.

+ Ensure business partnering on appropriate financial processes andprojects with international, corporate, business development, and other Sectororganizations.

+ Direct strategic and annual operating plan, forecasts, and monthlyclosing processes.

+ Maintain a financial framework to analyze potential newinvestments within the portfolio, indication expansion, and externalopportunities.

+ Participate in key Core Teams and be the financial liaison to the ProductReview Committee (PRC).

+ Coordinate the development of and assist in the implementation ofcontingency plans to achieve annual plan or forecast commitments.

+ Analyze, interpret, manage, coordinate, and communicate businessperformance.Utilize measurement todrive action towards business objectives.

+ Develop and implement performance measures that focus on keybusiness drivers (financial and non-financial) to support long term performanceand strategic objectives. Provide financial leadership and analytical supportto cross functional teams and committees.

+ Prepare financial analyses on special projects.Direct the development and implementation offinancial and operational systems.

+ Recruit, manage, develop and retain a team that is based on a foundation of business partnering and controllership. Coach and direct the finance team towards the skills and experiences necessary to achieve the strategic plan and support a global organization. **Ensure the quality policy/system is planned,understood, implemented and maintained by ensuring compliance within thedepartment.**


+ **Ensuredepartmental compliance as well as appropriate departmental resources areavailable to effectively maintain the quality system (people, facilities,tools, and training).**

+ **Collaborate with other functions and finance personnel to ensure that shared resources are deployed effectively and efficiently.**


**BASICQUALIFICATIONS:**


Bachelors degree required


Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with
7+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years
of relevant experience with 7+ years of managerial experience

**DESIRED/PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS (optional):**


MBA and financial systems implementation experience desired.


Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


Strong quantitative analysis and problem solving skills, and high
degree of initiative and influence management skills.


Successful track record of supervising a diverse financial team.


Business partnering: Identifies a broad range of business issues
and provides leadership in the decision making process, actively participates
in managing the business and establishing its strategic direction.


Finance and accounting knowledge: Demonstrates a broad and
in-depth understanding of Accounting and Finance. Understands, interprets, and
applies accounting principles and processes to ensure compliance with legal,
business accounting, and ethical standards.


Financial analysis: Organizes and structures business information
to identify specific risks and opportunities. Applies quantitative and
qualitative factors, skills and business experience, to arrive at meaningful
conclusions and recommendations. Develops innovative alternatives and solutions
when issues arise.


Internal controls: Understands and effectively applies internal
control principles and objectives, including Medtronic's Key Corporate
Policies.


Planning reporting: Accurately monitors and projects the
organization's financial performance. Provides performance measures and
interprets results in view of plans and objectives.

Strong influence management skills, demonstrate superior judgment, shape
business results, inspire others to excel, communicate with impact, demand
ethical behavior, and drive execution.
