Prominent law firm is seeking a Human Resources Manager for the New York City office.  Ideal candidate will have a BA degree with minimum of 5 years of experience as an HR Manager or similar role.  Law firm experience preferred. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Counsel and advise partners, managers and supervisors on performance management and the performance evaluation process, conflict resolution, staffing and disciplinary issues
  • Oversee and manage budgets as appropriate
  • Handle all onboarding, offboarding and the exit processes, including exit interviews.
  • Review job requirements/qualifications, job descriptions and salary ranges with department managers
  • Develop and document streamlined procedures to continuously improve processes 
  • Manage the offer and follow-up process using established Firm procedures. Initiate and monitor background checks as necessary.
  • Conduct new hire orientation, assisting employees with policy and procedure inquiries.
  • Administer new employee orientation, attendance programs, performance reviews, and training
  • Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and company benefit programs
Requirements:
  • 5+ years in Human Resources
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Knowledge of states laws and compliance
  • Experience handling employee relations issues
  • Strong communication skill
  • Ability to adapt in a changing work environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite

Salary 100k + depending on experience+benefits.
