Leading financial institution in midtown seeks a Project Manager/Process Optimization Consultant to join the LCD Innovation Function to focus on rolling out Lean, process improvement and streamlining and pick up new processes.

This person will promote continuous improvement and position LCD personnel to transform their daily processes. Competitive hourly rate based on qualifications.

This person will work closely with LCD stakeholders to support the adoption of transformational practices, including Lean, for LCD; assist with implementation of projects/deliverables; manage communications; facilitate training and help with the creation of metrics/reporting for senior management consumption.

The LCD Innovation function is a global group within the Legal and Compliance Division that provides services and expertise to teams within the Division to address opportunities to increase efficiency, reduce manual work and adopt transformational practices, including Lean and Agile.


Assist the company's LCD Innovation Function with various tasks and initiatives related to:

  • Rolling out transformational practices, including Lean to LCD
  • Implementing the communication strategy for process optimization and Lean adoption
  • Help lead education and training sessions (including Lean) for LCD
  • Facilitate process improvement implementations, including advising on usage of Lean toolkit, validating solution design and tracking implementation plans
  • Perform critical analysis to identify opportunities for process improvements and determine appropriate solutions; analysis may also include creating process flow charts to better understand current state processes and existing gaps
  • Assist with providing lightweight oversight and governance for in-scope opportunity pipeline
  • Assist with managing internal collaboration sites, including SharePoint and Jive
  • Help develop performance metrics and reporting to measure progress and process improvement benefits
  • Create and manage toolkits, training, guidance and appropriate documentation as required.

Bachelor's degree required together with 5 years of experience at a consulting firm, financial services and/or in Lean adoption.

  • Proven consultative skills working with business users to transform their processes using standardized process improvement methodologies (including Lean, Six Sigma)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio, SharePoint and Jive and IT systems generally
  • Highly organized  and detail oriented with strong communication, reasoning and interpersonal skills; comfortable delivering in-person presentations to stakeholders of varying seniority
  • Experience managing relationships with senior stakeholders; proven track record influencing others to facilitate and achieve results
  • Program management and/or project management expertise
  • Ability to work globally with distributed teams and personnel
