Job Description


Summary/Objective


JD Edwards developer will be responsible for working closely with various departments on applications, including their design, development, deployment, and maintenance. The developer will report to VP of Information Technology.


 


Essential Functions



  • Analyze requirements, functional design, and architectural design documents to determine coding needed from generalized business and functional requirements

  • Creating design and analysis documentation such as Master Technical Designs, Database Designs, User Interface Designs, Functional Designs and Technical Detail Designs

  • Interact with business stakeholders and end users across JDE E1 ERP Suite Provide end-user support for JDE business applications

  • Proficient in writing and debugging code

  • Translate program functional specifications into technical specifications.

  • Collaborates with the IT infrastructure support team to diagnose, root cause and implement corrective actions for issues



Competencies



  • Experience in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.1 or later (9.2 preferred)

  • Familiarity with the development life cycle and its implementation

  • Excellent hands on knowledge on Event Rules

  • Expert level understanding of EnterpriseOne project promotion, package builds and deployments.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Must be knowledgeable in principles of Change Management

  • Experience with JDE modules Sales, Inventory, Procurement, Transportation and Finance (AP, AR, FA and GA).

  • Extensive experience using the EnterpriseOne programming toolset including Forms Design (all or most Form types), Report Design (All Report types), BI Publisher, Table Conversion, JDE C Business Functions/ NER and Z-File Processing.

  • Good working knowledge of Data Dictionary, UDC Table, Vocabulary Overrides, Table Design, Business View Design, Data Structure Design, Cross Reference Utility and E1 Scheduler.

  • Good working knowledge of T-SQL

  • Working experience of Implementation, Upgrade and Support Projects. Preferably within internal corporate IT team

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).

  • Excellent organization and multitasking skills.

  • Keen attention to detail

  • Highly self-motivated and directed

  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

This is not a supervisory role


 


Work Environment


This position works in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work


This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. 


 


Required Education and Experience



  • Minimum of 3+ years of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne development experience

  • Bachelors degree in a technical or business-related field



Preferred Experience



  • BI Publisher, UPK, EDI, Business Services, Insight Report, Data migration
