PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

Global Cloud Services is the shared service unit providing the basic infrastructure services to all other units within SAP: network, datacenter, storage and backup, server management, license management and supplier coordination.

Data Center Management currently has a great opportunity for an IT Technology Lead Data Center Management Americas.

The Data Center Management organization is an international team with the responsibility for the management and standardization of all activities within the SAP Data Centers either owned or rented.

Together with colleagues in locations worldwide, we are working with innovative technologies and permanently looking for new and innovative technologies, ideas, processes and improvements.

You are reporting to the Manager of Americas Data Center Management.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

As the Americas Lead for Data Center Management you are responsible for:

Helping to manage the Data Center Management team in the Americas (US, Canada and Brazil)

Guide Data Center Engineers on all functional topics

Address escalations to senior management as needed

Responsible for the Asset Information Quality and Integrity

Data Center Infrastructure Availability

Assist with invoices, forecasts and budget planning

Data Center Security operations and Audit support

Guide local 7x24 HW support model

Support of Global Reporting and Transparency

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

You have received a Bachelor degree or higher in one of the following areas: Computer Science, Information Management, Mathematics, Chemistry or Physics or equivalent degree.

Your strengths are:

Leading a team by setting objectives

Good indirect management skills

Dealing constructively and establishing trust relationship with customers and teammates

Communicating easily in a multicultural environment

Analytical thinking

Fluent in English

WORK EXPERIENCE

>5-8 years experience in IT leadership

Familiar with complex, functional and multi-matrixes organizations
