The BTS Supplier Management Office (SMO) drives integration between IT Leadership, IT Operations, Procurement, and contracted Service Providers while ensuring receipt of services in accordance with outsourcing agreements.  The SMO optimizes contract, performance, financial, and relationship management processes building a foundation to resolve issues, monitor contract compliance, drive continuous improvement, and guide the relationship with the providers.

The role of the Contract/Finance Analyst is to drive transparency in reporting of IT financials for application solutions or infrastructure agreements.  This includes the reporting of consumption and forecasting; facilitating and executing annual rebaseline process; supporting pricing renegotiation; and modeling for what if scenarios.

This role requires the resource to influence and partner with senior IT leadership and key Abbott 3rd party providers.  The role will exercise latitude in the approach to problem solving. Work is reviewed for soundness of business judgment and to determine if overall results and objectives have been achieved. Medium/high complexity work

Primary responsibilities of this position are related to the management of all infrastructure solutions delivered and in support of Business Solutions and Services.  Some of the specific responsibilities of this role include:

  • Facilitate in collaboration with BSS and Suppliers the monthly resource unit reconciliation process
    • Collect and report thoughtful analytics related to IT spend metrics ultimately driving leadership decision making
    • Inform leadership of potential shortfalls and opportunities with the forecast and the various sources of action that may be appropriate.
    • Provide day to day support of financial planning in accordance with the contractual terms and conditions of the managed services agreements
    • Provide standard budgetary and rebate support including up to date spend and balance metrics
    • Proactively identifies areas of opportunity for process improvement efficiencies.
    • Must be proactive in originating, participating in and executing strategies to achieve both current and long-range objectives.

      The successful candidate for this position will have the following experiences and expertise:

      • Demonstrated diplomacy and effectiveness when working in a matrix environment.
      • Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience with an emphasis on finance and/or outsourcing service agreements.

        • Bachelor’s degree in business finance, computer science, or equivalent
