Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the scanning of all network attached assets and applications
  • Managing various process for customer requested scan jobs, reports and dashboards access. Reviewing requests for completeness, facilitating the collection of any missing information.
  • Provide Technical support to VM scanning tools across the enterprise, which may include set up, configuring, scheduling and execution of vulnerability scans
  • Collaborate with developers, development managers, technology peers, and business contacts to identify security vulnerabilities
  • Research new strategic tools and processes to enhance and advance our vulnerability management program and scanning processes.
  • Manage day to day scanning activities, schedules and troubleshooting
  • Operate and maintain all scanning tools to ensure the service is operating effectively
  • Insure successful Authentication on all assets and applications scanned


    • Bachelor€™s Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or other IT/technical degree
    • US Citizenship due to export control data
    • 2+ years of relevant experience using vulnerability scanning tools, ideally Rapid7
    • 2+ years of experience with various operating systems, Unix, Linux and Windows Server/Workstations

      We Value:

      • Rapid7 vulnerability scanning experience
      • Knowledge of, and practice within the elements of host, network and application security
      • Strong working knowledge of web server technologies including IIS and Apache
      • Working knowledge of database platforms and SQL
      • Strong experience in object-oriented programming in either Java, Python, or Ruby
      • Experience with REST APIs, Json, XML
      • Logon scripting using Selenium or other recording tools
      • Working background in the administration of Windows, UNIX, and Linux operating systems
      • Knowledge of Directory Services including, Active Directory (AD) and Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP)
      • Background in host and network architecture, including firewalls, VPN, PKI, IDS, and encryption
      • Working background with security tools related to vulnerability scanning technologies
      • Certified Information Security Professional (CISSP), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC), Web Application Penetration Testing (GWAPT) or other similar industry standard certifications
