The IT Business Intermediate Analyst is an intermediate-level position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning.


+ Formulate and define systems scope and project objectives through research activities and provide guidance to new or lower level analysts

+ Analyze business client needs, document requirements and new technology, and derive test cases

+ Define and analyze enhancements and assist in redesigning business processes and process automation

+ Prepare reports, metrics and presentations and exchange ideas/information in a concise and logical manner between business units and IT

+ Identify risk and consider business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment

+ Test systems to ensure projects meet requirements and identify system problems to develop solutions based on analyses

+ Resolve problems by translating business requirements into technical solutions and identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and precedent

+ Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


+ 2-5 years of relevant experience

+ Experience in data analysis with intermediate/advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills

+ Knowledge of applicable business systems and industry standards

+ Proven analytical, data analysis, organization and presentation skills

+ Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse project portfolio

+ Consistently passionate for research, ideation and exploration with understanding of business analysis procedures and concepts

+ Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication

+ Proven ability to work independently and in a team with understanding of how collaboration accomplishes objectives


+ Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience


The AMC SSI team within the Account Master Central Group is seeking a QA Analyst with a minimum of 3 years reference data experience. Primary responsibilities for this role entail: performing detailed testing for all AMC SSI releases, providing consolidated reporting on testing status, interfacing with Users regarding UAT testing dates and sign-offs, and responding to user inquiries during testing cycle. In addition to the aforementioned tasks, the QA analyst will participate in L3 support rotation.

AMC SSI is the strategic reference data settlement instruction repository. The application must support backward compatibility to the legacy SSI platform, as well as integrate with Middle and Back Office systems to consume settlement instructions from the strategic platform. Data quality and system performance are vital in ensuring the stability of the daily transaction processing for the Firm. SSI data must be available, accurate, and complete for global financial markets, the role of the QA is essential in meeting this objective.

Successful candidates will exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and be able to work in a dynamic team environment across multiple regions. Experience in the reference data space is required.

**Job description**

Participate in FRD review sessions to become familiar with project scope and requirements

+ Prepare Minor Development Documents

+ Prepare detailed test scripts in response to review of functional requirements

+ Execute test scripts with careful documentation of test case input parameters and result sets

Prepare consolidated MIS on testing activities, i.e. defects/progress

+ Correspond with Users regarding upcoming UAT dates and scope

+ Support User inquiries during testing cycle

+ Obtain User sign-off on UAT testing

Contribute to improving testing team best practices within the organization

+ Perform L3 support


_Required Skills:_

Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related Computer/MIS area of study

3 year minimum experience with IT QA analysis and testing

Strong MS office skills

Excellent verbal and e-mail communication skills

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

+ Experienced JIRA user

+ Knowledge of Standing Settlement Instructions in the reference data space

_Preferred Skills:_

Strong teamwork skills in a small local setting, as well as across different geographic locations

Ability to produce high quality work while under pressure

Experience in using HP Quality Center is a plus
