International Demand Planner

Responsible for developing production/supply plans that take into account forecasts, availability of material and manufacturing capacity.  Is responsible for identifying and maintaining the appropriate planning parameters in ERP systems to optimize subassembly production and raw material supply plans.  May also be responsible for providing materials to manufacturing areas based on planned production schedules and for the appropriate shipping of finished goods to various distribution centers utilizing material handling equipment in support of management policies for customer delivery and inventory levels.  Includes planners and inventory control roles.

Your mission will be: to manage the workload associated with forecast consolidation and coordinating availability of all finished goods inventory for Cepheid€™s international distribution locations. Oversee and drive distribution center product planning for all of Cepheid manufactured and procured materials. The ideal candidate must be able to adapt to high growth and dynamic market requirements. Also responsible for ensuring that work is aligned with Global established guidelines and objectives.

 Main responsibilities:

  • Demand Planning for finished goods including reagent consumables and instruments
  • Master Data Management for finished products distributed through international markets
  • ERP (SAP) Support and process Improvement
  • Engagement in Quality systems and related documentation management
  • Responsible for gathering forecast from sales department and providing direct input towards global forecasted volumes by item ensuring data is updated and communicated internally and globally
  • Ability to work with global resources in multiple time zones, participation in remote meetings
  • Ensure that processes and procedures are working and communicated.
  • Responsible for that the department performs and communicates analytical reports/analysis on I.e. inventory level, capacity and production planning.
  • Responsible for that the department addresses and implements measures to prevent capacity or supply shortages
  • Providing information and investigations into global functions on Excess & obsolete (E & O)
  • Responsible to ensure control of planning around the transfer of new product or updates or minor modifications of existing ones to production

    Required skills:

    We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

    • 2 years demand planning experience in a global environment. (preferably in Life Sciences industry)
    • Effective communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to convey communications clearly and concisely. Must be fluent in English
    • Strong SAP experience is required
    • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel is a must) and business management software
    • Capable of managing multiple, high-priority assignments
    • Ability to manage projects effectively and meet firm deadlines
    • Strong analytical skills to interpret data for reports and apply mathematic techniques in practical situations
