Position Summary

The Customer Support and Inside Sales Specialist is responsible for providing effective customer service for all aviation customers by using excellent, in-depth knowledge of company products as well as communicating effectively with team members within the business. This position is dedicated to excellence in the management and administration of our responsibilities with our aviation dealers and customers. The person holding this position is responsible for managing customer inquiries regarding sales or support. The person holding this position will also be responsible for resolution of sales and support inquiries by working with other team members including engineering, service, manufacturing, accounting, sales and shipping. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:



  • Provides timely and accurate information to customer order status and product knowledge requests

  • Provides timely and accurate information to customer software product knowledge requests

  • Responsible for the processing of returned products using the RMA process

  • Responsible for the processing of POs received and managing lead time expectations

  • Processes customer orders, changes, and returns

  • Works closely with the credit department to resolve disputed credit items

  • Provides timely feedback to the business regarding service failures, policy and document changes, and customer concerns

  • Partners with the sales team to meet and exceed customers service expectations

  • Partners with Account Executives and provides support for OEM customers 

  • Informs customers of unit prices, shipping date, anticipated delays and any additional information needed by the customer

  • Confers with production, shipping, warehouse or common carrier personnel to expedite or trace missing or delayed shipments

  • Answers questions from customers on how a product operates and where to find manuals and other documents

  • Answers questions from customers on how a product should be installed

  • Actively participate in department and other department meetings



 

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)



  • High school diploma or GED and/or training or equivalent combination of education

  • 1 to 2 years customer service and/or inside sales experience

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Strong detail orientation and excellent follow-through

  • Commercial or General Aviation experience preferred
