Job Summary

Serve as the subject matter expert for the pre-installation assessment of the customer’s informatics situation, which includes evaluation of current software both within the laboratory and other systems that use the laboratory’s information; connectivity; verification testing required and customer personnel skillset on informatics. Uses assessment information to create implementation plan and partners with other informatics specialist to ensure smooth transition to implementation.

  • Strong understanding of Laboratory Informatics Systems and how they interact with other systems at customer level.
  • Strong planning and problem solving skills; knows when to engage other people in the organization to resolve customer’s issues in a timely matter.
  • Effectively communicates with highly IT technical individuals and people without a technical background both at customer and organization’s multiple levels.

    Position Impact to Business

    • This role impacts customer satisfaction and revenue generation as the successful implementation of the informatics solution is fundamental for new customers to be up and running successfully.

      Requirements

      • Bachelor’s degree in computer science; information systems; medical technology; or related field. 
      • 2 years of informatics technical application experience in hospital or laboratory settings.
      • 3 years of experience on server technologies/services; workstation/desktop technology; internet protocols; remote connectivity; corporate virus protection products; back-up systems; firewalls and VPN client and tunnel technologies.
      • Minimum of 3 years of systems/instrument software integration and support experience.
