The In-Business Global Sr. Regulatory Affairs Program Manager and Exam Management specialist serves as a Sr. Regulatory Affairs and Exam Management specialist for Citi's Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) business. Success criteria primarily focuses on ability to achieve best outcomes in the Regulatory Exam, Audit and Regulatory Affairs space through active management, preparation and execution.

Resource will be responsible for executing governance mechanisms to successfully plan for and execute on Regulatory examinations to achieve desired outcomes. Includes designating and managing individuals from a matrixed organization to execute on examinations and owning and ensuring coherent messaging results from inputs from various teams and functions, including operations and technology. Will include identifying and designating lead individuals from multiple product lines in TTS and ensuring engagement and support. Will include managing required examiner deliverable requests and meeting preparation to support Regulatory Exams and ongoing supervisory interactions.


+ Regulatory Affairs Program Management, specifically Regulatory Exam management and MRA Response Letter Management

+ MRA Regulatory Action Plan setup and monitoring (in conjunction with Firm Level Regulatory Engagement teams)

+ Regulatory Correspondence Management / Communications

+ Regulatory Change Management Process Execution and Risk Appetite Monitoring

+ Partner with Firm Regulatory Engagement and Compliance to conduct Regulator meetings to understand or influence Examination Scope; Includes developing positions on exam scope recommendations.

+ Manage Calendar of all Exams impacting TTS and Products/Functions

+ Assist with Management and Analysis of Regulator OGS Meetings

+ Liaise with other Citi organizations in Exam Management or MRA Scope

+ Audit Management where needed, particularly in relation to subject matter under regulatory scrutiny.

+ Issuing ExCo Communications on Exam activity and Regulatory Correspondence.


+ 6-8 years relevant work experience in Business Risk & Controls, Program Management and/or Regulatory Affairs in the Financial Services Industry.

+ Superior program and project management skills and experience. Ability to develop, execute and monitor project plans and trackers around regulatory examinations.

+ Experience in compliance, legal or other control-related function in the financial services firm, regulatory organization, or legal/consulting firm, or a combination thereof.

+ Highly motivated, strong attention to detail, team oriented, organized

+ Strong leadership skills and influencing capabilities;

+ Comfortable facing off with second line, third line and regulatory examiners.

+ Ability to work globally and across Citi Lines of business and Functions to achieve best outcomes on exams and responses to enforcement actions.

+ Excellent written, verbal and analytical skills

+ Experience interpreting regulatory correspondence and authoring regulatory response letters.

+ Strong presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions through concise and clear messaging

+ Ability to interact and communicate effectively with senior leaders

+ Working knowledge of Compliance laws, rules, regulations, risks and appropriate controls

+ Experience in the design and implementation enforcement action response plans, as well as corrective action plan management and Audit readiness.

+ Experience with Regulatory and Exam Management at a large financial institution preferred.

+ Comfort navigating complex, highly-matrixed organizations

+ Prior experience with a Financial Industry Regulatory agency a plus.


Bachelors degree; . Advanced degree (e.g.MBA) and/or relevant professional certifications (e.g., Project Management Professional - PMP) are a plus.
