Job Summary: Supports the implementation of various applications along with the integration of those systems. Performs modifications to existing applications that will effectively accomplish desired objectives. Provides insight and recommendations on technical application support in assigned areas and demonstrates a solid level of subject matter expertise in providing support on projects, business owners and other EIS teams. Meets deadlines and ensures continued progress toward assignment completion. Shares experience with other members of team. Independently works on a small portfolio of low to medium complexity and scale work projects. Performs and monitors the resolution of maintenance or enhancement issues assigned by the CSHS EIS. Interfaces with the various teams across CSHS departments and end user community regarding application support. Provides guidance to less experienced staff. Helps design and code new applications. Involved in the design and troubleshooting of interfaces. Assists with the research and documentation of product requirements. Assists with the development of product technical documentation. Assists with the development and implementation of product test plans. Assists with the development and implementation of internal and client training programs. Works as a member of a multidisciplinary team to provide timely and accurate clinical information at the operational support capacity. Helps ensure continuous real-time operation of clinical information systems (24X7). Interacting with system and support vendors as needed. Job Responsibilities: Assists with the analysis and documentation of clinical and/or business systems. Provides application support to functional applications Provide backup tasks and tactical support to clinical systems to help ensure uptime and operational state of all IDS's supported systems Creates troubleshooting documentation and user training materials Works with end users in developing solutions for existing and new processes Coordinates with various other departments to troubleshoot and resolve issues Uses analytical skills and expertise to investigate, resolve, and/or escalate support issues Adheres to appropriate CSHS Project Management standards including Change Management/Control (ITG) process Performs application customization, optimization, and system stabilization. Coordinates and schedules follow-up activities to ensure that interfaces are set up and ready for testing according to schedule. Performs and assists in development of test data, conducts unit and system testing and creates documentation for all phases of implementation. Maintains user security tables, monitor database integrity and evaluate the change request by end users Participates in go-live planning as it pertains to conversions/migrations; facilitates review and status meetings with clients and vendors. Provides programming, analysis, and design expertise Design/modifies business rules for applications Coordinates and implements the interface and/or conversion phase of an application installation process; provides support in troubleshooting and resolving interface issues. Prepares and submits status reports to Manager as requiredEducational requirements and/or preferences: Bachelors degree in relevant field or equivalent combination of relevant experience, education and training is required. Medical Technology license, Degree in Biomedical, Systems Engineering or related field preferred Minimum of three (3) years of relevant healthcare information systems experience required Strong technical and functional knowledge of assigned information systems or experience in supporting Biomedical systems required Formal project management experience required Demonstrated knowledge of project management methodologies and system analysis Skill in working independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities Strong interpersonal skills including oral and written communication Strong analytical and problem solving skills including tolerance for ambiguity Advanced computer skills including Windows, Exchange/Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint Cedars-Sinai is an EEO employer.
