Institutional Credit Managements (ICM) objective is to provide an integrated end-to-end credit underwriting, identification, measurement, management, monitoring and reporting for wholesale credit businesses across the enterprise. Institutional Client Group (ICG) In-Business Quality Assurance is an integral part of the ICM organization.

The ICG In-Business Quality Assurance function (QA) verifies that established standards and processes are followed and consistently applied. ICG Management uses the results of the quality assurance reviews to assess the quality of the group's policies, procedures, programs, and practices as relates to the management of wholesale credit risk. The results help management identify operational weaknesses, risks associated with the function, training needs, and process deficiencies.

The role will help support the provision, co-ordination and oversight of Governance reporting to Committees/Stakeholders globally for the IBQA Program. The role-holder will assist with the definition and execution of a global governance reporting strategy across the function for the consistent delivery of high quality, concise and insight-led and actionable reporting. This role reports directly to the ICM Head of WCR In-Business Quality Assurance Reporting & Governance.

**Key responsibilities include:**

Assist in leading the Quality Assurance Reporting Team to produce reports, identify and escalate issues, by the accurate, precise, and consistent tracking of key performance indicators, across sites, portfolios, and teams.

Provide review and quality check control on all reporting which is produced by ensuring both the quantitative and qualitative content is accurate and provides clear messages and analysis on key items for attention and value-add insight.

Support senior management to oversee the end-to-end ownership of QA reporting including ad-hoc management and regulatory reporting to senior ICG management including Issues Management Forum.

Liaise closely with the QA and broader ICG team to discuss key areas of focus and emerging risks which should be at the forefront for each quarterly reporting cycle.

Provide support in embedding efficient processes for collating information for reporting, including maintaining centralized trackers and driving global reporting initiatives with a focus on continuous improvement through the consideration/adoption of innovative solutions to drive process efficiency and improvement of report content/format and production processes.

Ensure all data maintenance, reporting, tracking, effective escalation, and communication are executed as per the design and strategy within required deadlines.

Assist with the establishment of WCR IBQA reporting procedures and controls to drive effective QA reporting and governance standards

Develop effective working relationships, to enable smooth co-ordination of reporting activities, as well as building a knowledge of QA to drive insightful reporting.

Support the Global Head of WCR IBQA on internal projects and initiatives

Support WCR IBQA Voice of the Employee (VOE) as well as diversity and inclusion initiatives

Travel (less than 10%)



Demonstrable quantitative and data gathering experience including, 5-7 years of reporting functions, issue identification and/or quality assurance and quality control

Knowledge of Wholesale Credit Processes and organizational awareness, covered portfolios, and processes

Understanding of policies and procedures with the ability to execute change seamlessly

Understanding and experience in provision of high quality Management Information, delivering accurate data analytics and reporting to senior internal and external stakeholders, under tight deadlines and potentially multiple competing priorities.

Ability to work with large data sets to identify emerging trends, uncover new patterns, and generate data-driven visualizations that are effective in translating numbers into actionable insights

Grasp of the markets and lending wholesale credit risk covered process, to evaluate findings within the Quality Assurance process, determine materiality, and partnering with in-line makers and checkers for ongoing improvement, problem detection, and sustainable remediation

Awareness and adherence to the control environment including Quality Assurance and Quality Control


Strategic orientation to ensure the ICM organization continues to be positioned as a thoughtful and proactive partner on driving best practices to support safety and soundness within ICM and Citi

Assists colleagues in identifying stretch opportunities to elevate individual and team performance and recognizes individuals based on performance.

Coach and mentor analysts to develop team strengths and improve weaknesses

Proven culture carrier


Developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and exert influence with and without direct authority

Strong organizational skills with ability and willingness to work under pressure and manages time and priorities effectively

Sound written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely to audiences of varying levels of seniority

Significant experience in preparing presentations for seniors


Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

Tableau or visualization tool familiarity

Experience with Loan IQ, transaction capture tools, etc.


BA/BSc or higher degree in Business (MBA), or any other related subject
