Citi launched a Data Transformation program to become a data driven organization and to improve the quality of the information the bank produces to ensure the banks information is complete, accurate and timely for external and internal users. The Data Transformation program is a key component of Citis overall Transformation program.


Citis Institutional Clients Group (ICG) established a Data Transformation Workstream within its ICG Data Governance Office to define and

deliver the ICG divisions commitments as part of Citis Data Transformation program.


Experience and skillsets within the following major areas are expected of the ICG Data Transformation Manager - VP:


**Regulatory Data Program Management:**

Providing PMO support to data management and/or regulatory change management programs and an understanding of program and project

planning, resource management, financial management and delivery against business objectives. Familiarity with systems development

lifecycle and required testing for systems integration projects. Insight into key performance metrics to measure both delivery progress and

business benefit realization (e.g. data quality).


**Communications:**

Continual interaction is required with peers and stakeholders in ICG businesses and O&T teams and

Finance, Risk, Compliance the Chief Data Office (CDO) and Internal Audit.


**Financial Services and Regulatory Background Knowledge:**

Previous experience in banking and finance, and knowledge of Regulatory Reporting.

Knowledge of key regulatory entities e.g., FRB and OCC and any other relevant regulatory bodies will be an advantage.


**Job Description:**


The ICG O&T Data Transformation Manager accomplishes results through the management of professional team(s) and department(s). Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Contributes to standards around which others will operate. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function. Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions. Strong commercial awareness is a necessity. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level.


**Key Objectives:**


+ Enhancing ICG Data Transformation program governance and reporting across ICG initiatives to ensure coverage for all commitments.

+ Preparing governance and reporting updates for senior leadership and escalating issues and risks in a timely manner to expedite resolution.

+ Working with the Chief Data Office (CDO) to ensure the integrity of how ICG updates are included in Enterprise level governance and reporting.

+ Identifying and reporting on the dependencies across ICG initiatives and with non-ICG initiatives to ensure complete and timely delivery of ICG commitments.

+ Proactively monitoring ICG performance against Enterprise Program key performance indicators to ensure complete and timely delivery of ICG commitments.


**Responsibilities:**


+ Support governance and prepare reporting for ICG Data Transformation Workstream, including timely risk and issue escalationand resolution

+ Coordinate ICG status updates with CDO (Chief Data Office) program reporting

+ Build relationships with ICG, CDO, Finance, Risk, Compliance and Internal Audit stakeholders

+ Participate in dependency management across ICG Data Transformation Workstream initiatives

+ Work with ICG Data Transformation Workstream initiative leads to prepare project plans, resource plans and financial plans

+ Assesses risks and drive actions to address the root causes that persistently lead to operational risk losses by challenging both historical and proposed practices.

+ Governance and oversight may include (not limited to) technology operational risk, risk for example.

+ Assists in assessing current status of all regulation related controls

+ Recommends control enhancements as needed

+ Identifies best practices to be shared with global Citi businesses

+ Develops and maintains tracking metrics for management reporting and escalation

+ Establishes a rapport with Business Managers, Compliance, Internal Audit and Legal.

+ Develops a broad and detailed understanding of the organizations landscape, culture and technology.

+ Understands the various businesses and the applicable regulations which govern

+ Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.

+ Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.

+ Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.

+ Ability to manage teams.

+ Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.


**Qualifications:**


+ 6-10 years experience in Operational Risk, Technology program Management, IT Audit, Data Governance, Compliance Risk Management or related areas.

+ Experience working on data driven regulatory programs is preferred

+ Program/project management certification is a plus

+ Experience in Internal Audit or Financial Control would be desirable.

+ Operations & Technology or In-Business data management experience is a plus

+ Knowledge of Banking/ICG products is a plus

+ Stakeholder management experience is a plus

+ Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of how the function integrates within overall technology to achieve objectives
