Introduction
IBM is currently seeking a passionate Business development manager or someone with 2-8 years IT sales experience. This position is a high-profile growth opportunity that demands a highly motivated individual with strong sales, communications and organisational skills, and is eager to learn.

Your Role and Responsibilities

The Sales specialist will drive and generate new business sales; both within prospect accounts, and a small number of existing accounts.
  • Engage clients in transformational discussions about IBM's Cognitive and Cloud portfolio
  • Collaborate with the IBM ecosystem: Client Executives, business partner channel, pre-sales and more
  • Pipeline and sales process management, including effective forecasting and opportunity closure
  • Drive campaign and events; structure compelling software deals
  • Being the trusted advisor to the customer by understanding their existing and future IT road map
What do I need to be successful in this role?
  • Mindset of a Hunter - win new business
  • Exceptional client relationship management
  • Can demonstrate a track record of achieving and/or exceeding against ones targets/KPIs
  • Ability to articulate IBMs value proposition, and the value of solutions to clients
What experience do I need?
  • 2+ years experience in IT Sales (advantageous)
  • Previous experience in the Technology industry (advantageous)
