HRPS Project Manager supporting LATAM/MX

The HRPS Americas Risk & Control team is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to join our team. This individual will report to the HRPS Business Risk & Control Advisor. They will be the process lead representing HRPS primarily focused on and supporting Latin America/Mexico on several key HR initiatives and projects. This role will interact closely with key HR partners, including HR Control and Compliance, HR Professional Services managers and team members, global technology partners, and other key functional partners.

The position requires a highly organized and driven individual who has demonstrated successes in complex organizational initiatives. The individual will be responsible for owning end to end processes, representing the broader HRPS in cross-Citi forums, and partnering with others to define solutions and proactively identify opportunity areas. They should have excellent interpersonal skills, strong data management skills, and work constructively with people across various functional departments and geographies to facilitate project deliverables.

Qualified candidates will have a comprehensive understanding of the scope of operations, compliance, technology, and business functions and how they interact to achieve business and regulatory objectives. Prior process improvement and reengineering experience and strong leadership and communication skills is required to identify and influence opportunities internally, and often at a senior level.

Role Responsibilities:

+ The Project Manager will work on tactical and strategic projects and get involved in day-to-day ad hoc items that arise and require oversight and leadership. There is a strong emphasis on control and remedial project work

+ Lead activities to assess existing processes, and leverage process improvement frameworks and tools to identify improvement opportunities

+ Own end-to-end execution of strategic initiatives from problem identification through requirements definition and solution implementation. This includes both long-term projects as well as daily ad hoc items that arise

+ Design and implement regional communication strategy and control structure to ensure all stakeholders are involved in and aware of key business change activities (system, process, policy, training)

+ Create key management presentations for various audiences that articulate our strategic initiatives and accomplishments

+ Identify and address pain points, roadblocks and root causes through problem solving, solutioning and conflict resolution.

+ Collaborate with broader HR teams to understand current processes and potential areas for improvement to streamline processes and leverage best practices across the organization

+ Create and host trainings and educational forums with broader HRPS teams on key process and relevant topic

+ Attend meetings independently, representing the interests of HRPS

+ Manage stakeholder engagement and cross functional teams to drive successful outcomes.

+ Maintain internal system of record to support accurate and timely project details for audit and regulatory requirements.

+ Proactively identify, assess, communicate, monitor, control, mitigate and escalate risks.

+ Identify and escalate issues and updates to the HRPS Leadership team for immediate awareness and resolution

+ Manage scope changes - assess impacts including resource needs and timing; solicit and receive appropriate sponsor and manager approval for changes

+ Champion a culture of continuous improvement

+ Enhance existing project management capabilities through training, mentoring, shadowing, and coaching.

+ Uses best practice PMO methodology to create a project plan to fit the stakeholders/customers needs and deliver on desired outcomes and prioritizations.

+ Assesses project risk potentials and discover potential problems before they occur.

+ Articulates problems, bring the right people together to solve problems and know when the problem has been properly addressed and closed.

+ Promotes partner involvement through effectively communicating project status

+ Communicates to all concerned parties project milestones, status updates, as well as any existing or potential escalation issues.

+ Promotes good working relationships across a project

+ Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made

+ Collaborate with subject matter experts and process owners

+ Continuous Improvement to assess process opportunities and failure points

+ Promotes partner involvement through effectively communicating project status upward and to the Client.

+ Communicates to all concerned parties project milestones, status updates, as well as any existing or potential customer escalation issues.

+ Applies lessons learned from recent projects to future projects.

Skills/ Qualifications:

+ Required to be bilingual in English and Spanish

+ Articulate, concise and well written or spoken communication skills.

+ Self-starter with a true sense of personal responsibility and ownership.

+ Exemplary interpersonal and organizational skills.

+ Ability to lead, negotiate, resolve conflict, and handle multiple initiatives with changing priorities.

+ Proven project and risk management experience.

+ Meticulous attention to detail for project tracking, reports, metrics, and presentations.

+ Work under pressure, manage tight deadlines, and thrive in a flexible, fast-paced global environment across multiple lines of business.

+ Ability to track and report quantified progress to senior management / stakeholders

+ Willingness and aptitude to learn a foundational level of knowledge in new technologies, products, or businesses we may support.

+ Expert planning and strong project management skills with ability to make data driven decisions.

+ Knowledge of project metrics, including gathering, reporting, trend analysis, creation, and metrics.

Education/ Knowledge:

+ Bachelors/University degree preferred

+ 6+ years of experience successfully managing and delivering programs across multiple disciplines, including HR, Operations, Program Management, Process Reengineering, Relationship Management, or Risk & Control Operations

+ Experience working on large scale projects and facilitating large change initiatives, including experience in project tracking and issue management

+ Strong team player with ability to collaborate with diverse teams comprised of many backgrounds, perspectives, and skill sets

+ Proficiency in tools such as Teams, Workday, ServiceNow, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project Management software
