Volt Workforce Solutions has partnered with a leading a full service lighting solutions provider and integration specialist who is now hiring for a Human Resources Manager. Our client provides solutions that caters to homeowners, design specialists, architects, developers, hospitality management groups, general, electrical contractors et al.

Headquartered in San Diego, California, our nationwide presence spans throughout Los Angeles, Orange County, New York, Las Vegas, Seattle et al. The range and scope of our work includes commercial architecture, hospitality settings, and high end custom homes.

Position Summary

The Human Resource Manager is responsible for implementing and managing human resources policies and programs in the areas of recruitment, employment, employee relations, benefits and equal opportunity employment in compliance with government regulations and company goals.

Essential Functions

Supports HR staff to resolve human resource problems, interpret HR policies and procedures and recommends effective courses of action.

Overseas hiring, on boarding, and recruiting decisions (specifically supporting technical roles)

Provides leadership in coordinating the activities of the HR Department to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, policies, regulations

Provides consistent interpretation/application of HR policies and procedures

Identifies optimal solutions that meet the needs of the HR functions by recommending process improvements, system enhancements and alternatives based on specific needs.

Serves as the Departments liaison to HR staff and management, as well as central point of contact for interdepartmental projects and communications related to HR business operations.

Uses various software applications, such as spreadsheets, relational databases to assemble, manipulate and/or format data and/or reports.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

10 years experience in HR

Experienced in Technical Recruiting

Must have strong proficiency in the functional use of key business applications including HRIS

Ability to interpret and incorporate HR policies and procedures into practice.

Bachelors Degree preferred

Knowledge of principles of office organization and principles of management.

Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with persons within and outside the organization.
