HR Emerging Technology Director

Reporting to the Senior Director of HR Technology Solutions, this exciting new role is a key contributor to HR€™s digital transformation strategy.  This role will be responsible for helping develop a vision for new/emerging HR technology and leading a team of technologists responsible for successfully deploying, implementing or evolving contemporary digital tools such as chatbot, new emerging software and enhancing existing internal search capabilities and digital platforms. 

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Responsible as Product Owner for launching, maintaining and improving key applications, including a contemporary Chatbot, Coveo Cloud Search and our Proof of Concept COE.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on related system capabilities and emerging technologies that are yet to-be-acquired or that are already implemented or offered in our existing systems.

  • Assist in the translation of business/HR goals and objectives into concrete tactical plans.

  • Provide expertise on business solutions such as software as a solution, Cloud, on-premise, or custom applications.

  • Manage a team of 4-7 functional / technical analysts (including conversational designers, search engine optimizers, content curators, platform configurators)

  • Serve as liaison between HR, IT and system providers to provide systems support and analysis. Research, identify, and leverage digital technologies to create new (or modify existing) business processes and user experiences to meet changing business requirements.

  • Responsible for managing business relationship relating to process owners and partnering with IT to build and drive related processes and procedures.

  • Coordinate support activities for HR Technology which will include: setting and monitoring SLAs for support and working with IT on establishment, measuring, monitoring and improvements of SLAs.

  • Help determine viable solutions (accounting for data, processes, people, system capabilities) and establish controls and governance to ensure that it€™s effective, properly maintained and operating efficiently.

  • Organize and manage project work, system updates, enhancements and support activities.

  • Ensure the process maps, SOPs, and team Management Operating Systems remain current, and that any change requests go through proper procedures.

  • Manage Compliance, DP, Security related aspects of system (including Privacy Impact Assessment process)

  • Manage the backlog grooming. Work with IT and user experience teams to provide mock-ups, conceptual ideas and demos. Adjust to maximize velocity / efficiency. Define the Minimal Viable Product and iteration plans.

  • Partner with the Honeywell User Experience team to measure, improve, and ensure the best possible experience exists with the related solutions.

  • Responsible for the processes and execution of responsive and quick escalations and following through with the Service Excellence and IT team on the Root Cause Analysis and related mitigations, reviews and related remedies.

  • Create RFP / SOW document

  • Drive partnership meetings, engagement, influence. Coordinate upgrade-schedule with Vendor, Process owners and IT.

    You Must Have:

    • BA/BS degree in Management of Information Systems, Computer Science or related field

    • Min 8 years of HR Technology experience leading, driving, maintaining and improving technology platforms and using project management tools and methodologies

    • Minimum 8 years of extensive experience leading and driving technology projects and using project management tools and methodologies

    • Minimum 5 years of experience leading and working on geographically distributed, global, cross-functional and matrixed teams

    • Strong presentation skills to a variety of audiences including senior leadership

      • Experience with framework and programs of both Agile and Waterfall software development life cycles

      • Working knowledge of HR systems and applications, development of sophisticated presentations and of business cases, process analysis and recommendations

      • Experience of managing budget, estimating and forecasting

      • Management of vendors, system integrators and support teams

      • Proven understanding, experience and skills with process re-engineering

      • Strong emerging skill experience and understanding in AI and ML, conversational design, bias avoidance, security, data privacy, content management

      • Significant knowledge and experience in technology and strategies

      • Experience and understanding of Knowledge Management and Collaboration tools
