Purpose of the Role:


The HR Business Partner works in partnership with the (Site) General Manager as a member of the (Site) management team and trusted advisor to the (Site) General Manager and members of the management team.


The HR Business Partner supports the Site leadership in managing all Employee Relations related matters, interactions with external and internal union representatives, participate in consultative committee, lead EA discussions, provide expert interpretation of EA applicable and Modern Award, represent the company in FW commission in case of dispute and interface with external legal advisors to ensure the best outcome for the company


They support their organisation to shape and define business goals consistent with corporate strategy and values. The HR Business Partner brings people management expertise to business decisions and strategies and secures and delivers HR interventions and programmes to achieve business goals.

The HR Business Partner is involved in Business Strategy formulation process but mainly in the business operational reviews, ensuring an effective and efficient HR support to project execution.


The HR Business Partner (Site) defines the site People Plan, including Organizational Capabilities, Talent Management, Labour and Employee Relations, Leadership Development and building strong teams across the different steps of the Value Chain.


Primary Responsibilities:


1. Employee Relations

  • Lead Labour and Employee Relations within the business unit/site/ecosystem. Negotiate agreements with employee representatives to optimize manpower cost base, production targets and engagement. Manage all employee disputes proactively, prepare management reports on ER cases.

2. Talent Management and Transform Leaders into Talent Champions

  • The HR Business Partner will be responsible to support the Business Leaders in all talent activities to ensure the right talent in the right place at the right time. He/she will coach leaders on using the talent related tools, support elements and how to act as "talent champion"
  • Talent reviews, competences assessment, identification & mobilization of high potentials, performance management and improvement, action plan per individual, resources & succession planning, recruitment and redeployment of people are in scope.
  • Additionally, coaching and support for business leaders on understanding, communicating and following up on employee engagement and enablement plans are in scope.

3. Develop Leadership

  • HR Business Partner will drive together with the (Site) General Manager the formation of a strong Site Leadership Team delivering on their commitments, developing markets and customers, mobilizing people and teams; and, driving strategy while acting as per The Code of Ethics.
  • Leadership development programs, critical transitions support, leadership nominations and leaders behaviors together with values and ethics are in scope.

4. Supporting BT HR Delivery Model

  • HR Business Partner will collaborate with the HR Operations team allocated to the site/country and will support one-HR to become an HR World Class organisation contributing to deliver business success.
  • Participating on HR Leadership meetings, fully Implementing the HR Delivery Model, interacting with both Shared Services Organisation and Centre of Expertise are required in order to be successful in this role.
  • Leverage good practice, share knowledge and experiences, avoid duplications but customize current tools and programs, connect with Shared Services Organisation to ensure this interface is efficient and effective, etc. working as ONE HR are in scope.
