Position Specifics


Candidate must have the following experience:

+ Maintain workforce certifications in all safety courses

+ Conduct classroom instruction and practical evaluations on all safety courses to ensure workforce is compliant with Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Safety and Health manual, and local site regulations.

+ Assist local Environmental Safety and Health department with development and distribution of site correspondence

+ Develop and format all forms of bulletins to include Alerts, Notices, and other Environmental Safety and Health correspondence

+ Conduct training evolutions, update employee attendance and certifications in the Learning Exchange database, and assist Training Department with associated learning duties

+ Complete all duties and responsibilities necessary as a Health & Safety Analyst 4 to enable the customer to successfully complete project tasks.

+ Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret Security Clearance

Essential Job Responsibilities

Identifies hazardous workplace conditions and takes preliminary samples and measurements of hazardous forces and toxic substances, removes hazards and/or protects employees by guarding, revising work procedures, and training or requiring use of protective clothing and personal protective equipment. Takes effective steps to ensure that workplace conditions comply with applicable federal and state occupational safety and health standard provisions of any labor agreement, ensuring that all required records are prepared and maintained. Participates in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) inspections and in any procedures that may follow a citation. Investigates, prepares, and forwards as required reports on injuries and fatalities. Conducts safe work procedures training courses.

Minimum Qualifications

9-13 Years with Bachelors or 7-11 Years with Masters or 4-8 Year with Phd or JD or 0-3 Years with MD or DVM or HS diploma + 13-18 years of relevant experience.

+ Respiratory Protection

Physical Requirements

May require working in an industrial or shipboard environment. Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above feet/floor level. May encounter extremes of temperature, pollution, humidity, noise, and other environmental factors while collecting data, observing performance of task teams.
