Head of Business Services Delivery Practices-D/MD

Reporting to the Global Head of Business Services, the Delivery Practices Head is responsible for ensuring effective practices and standard are in place for all of GBS improvement programs to ensure high-impact and value-added delivery. The role is responsible for setting frameworks, methodologies, and tools as well as driving continuous improvement in these and their implementation/adoption in delivery of improvement programs across GBS. The role defines the target state for how GBS approaches simplification of business and leads the implementation and adoption.


+ Oversee all aspects of program delivery practices for Global Business Services, including the development, refinement and ongoing evolution of the delivery frameworks, methodologies, tools, etc. to enable high-impact improvement programs and deliverables.

+ Ensure Citi Business Services framework, methodologies, and tools are best in class and rival those of peer institutions and consulting firms

+ Provide assurance to senior stakeholders that GBS frameworks, methodologies, and tools are being leveraged across the function.

+ Lead from the front in driving continuous quality improvement to increase the impact of improvement programs.

+ Take an active leadership role in bringing these to life and driving capability building and adoption by working with senior leaders across GBS, as well as change and communications

+ Act as a strategic advisor to peers and program leaders in the implementation and adoption of frameworks, methodologies and tools.

+ On an on-going basis, identify opportunities to enhance existing frameworks, tools, methodologies etc. with a focus on challenging the existing assets and leveraging innovative, forward-looking technologies, approaches, with an out-of-the-box mindset.

+ Develop strategy and approach to expand use of frameworks, methodologies, and tools to expand the business services capability across the enterprise.

**Qualifications & skills:**

+ Extensive experience overseeing and leading the analysis of a business service and its relevant processes, data, technology and controls and recommend ways to improve quality, controls, and efficiency.

+ Extensive experience in managing highly visible, complex initiatives and/or consulting experience; Capable of prioritizing and leading multi-program portfolio in a largescale, distributed organization. Strategy consulting experience a plus.

+ Demonstrated ability leading the development of analytics, models, dashboards, etc. to make data-driven decisions and improvement strategies to drive outcomes around processes, technology, data and controls.

+ Experience with hypothesis-based thinking and horizontal and vertical logic.

+ Knowledge of innovative technologies and their use cases / applications in business services, including RPA, AI, advanced analytics, machine learning, process mining, etc.

+ Deep subject matter expertise in financial services / banking a plus

+ Exhibits a mindset of creativity, innovation, and an energetic drive to achieve outcomes.

+ Highly motivated, strong attention to detail, team oriented, organized.

+ Excellent oral and written communications skills; Previous experience interacting and working with Executive Leaders. The role requires leadership presence, subject matter expertise, and the finesse to work with industry leaders and senior executives

+ Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to identify conflicts, discrepancies and other issues and resolve them in an effective and timely manner

+ Exceptional matrix management and influencing skills requiring strong collaboration with a collegial style that gains the respect of key business partners to ensure overall business success in managing activities

+ Demonstrated leadership and management abilities with commitment to client and team member experience/development, goals of practice and productivity


+ Bachelor's degree

+ Masters degree preferred

+ 15+ years or relevant experience in financial services industry
