Reporting to the Global Head of Business Services, the Delivery Excellence Head is responsible for ensuring effective reporting on oversight, management and delivery of improvement programs against commitments. The role is responsible for identifying and managing interdependencies, defining program structures, accountabilities and providing transparency to senior stakeholders. The role defines the target state for how Global Business Services will adopt program management policies and standards and leads the implementation and adoption. The Delivery Excellence Head will work collaboratively across Global Business Services and other Global Businesses and Functions to develop, implement, and execute the ongoing management and coordination of programs.


**Responsibilities:**


+ Oversee all aspects of program management for Global Business Services, including the development, refinement and ongoing evolution of the program management governance, standards, templates, tools, style guides, processes, glossary, etc. to report on progress against plans and desired outcomes in a standardized and consistent way.

+ Work with senior leaders across GBS, as well as change and communications professionals, to drive the implementation and adoption of standards, tools, templates, etc.

+ Ensure timely and accurate weekly reporting on program delivery, issue management tracking and cross-dependency management.

+ Provide oversight of reporting inclusive of executive reporting and scope, target state, and success criteria for programs looking across to identify related and interdependent elements and provide recommendations, where needed, for combining or connecting programs to achieve greater effectiveness and efficiency.

+ Act as a strategic advisor to peers and program leaders in the development and execution plans for each program, including definition and timing of workstreams, deliverables and other milestones against commitments, and dependencies.

+ Check and challenge individual improvement programs to drive greater impact and ensure rigorous program and project management with clearly identified roles and responsibilities, milestones, outcomes, workplans, etc.

+ Identify critical interdependencies among programs, drive and accelerate execution and address milestone delays with transparent communication to senior stakeholders.


**Qualifications & skills:**


+ Extensive experience in managing program portfolios.

+ Highly motivated, strong attention to detail, team oriented, organized.

+ Excellent oral and written communications skills; Previous experience interacting and working with Executive Leaders. The role requires leadership presence, subject matter expertise, and the finesse to work with industry leaders and senior executives

+ Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to identify conflicts, discrepancies and other issues and resolve them in an effective and timely manner

+ Exceptional matrix management and influencing skills requiring strong collaboration with a collegial style that gains the respect of key business partners to ensure overall business success in managing activities

+ Demonstrated leadership and management abilities with commitment to client and team member experience/development, goals of practice and productivity

+ Hands-on management style: capable of diving into details where required, while retaining the capacity to look at the larger picture and focus on the long-term impact of decisions and strategy


**Competencies/Skills**


+ Bachelor's degree

+ Masters degree preferred

+ 15+ years or relevant experience in financial services industr
