Group Manager, Information Security->> Manages a medium to large-sized or multiple small information security teams responsible for building framework and engagement model for new Independent Verification and Validation (IVV) function. Engages and participates in information security projects and resourcing to ensure sustainability of controls via validation. Maintains a focus on automated, synthetic functional testing. Understanding of information security risk. Develops and implements processes and methods for auditing and reporting validation status. Able to communicate with senior information security management to provide transparency and program updates. Monitors budgets and schedules for projects conducted by teams and ensures they are completed in a timely manner. Recruits, directs, motivates and develops staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team. Experienced project manager familiar with agile methodology and DevOps toolset. Contributes to the achievement of team objectives.

Description
  • Accountability for overall Independent Verification and Validation (IVV) program and strategy.
  • Establish framework for auditing and managing the IVV program across the Cyber Security Program (CSP)
  • Provide Information Risk and System Engineering leadership toward requirements verification planning, tracking, implementation, and reporting
  • Vertically integration of the IVV program across all ISD managed projects
  • Participate as a member of the Cyber Security Program (CSP) Leadership Team, flowing communications between the program and IVV department
  • Creates and publishes metrics for reporting purposes and process improvement
  • Proven and capable manager
  • Ability to direct, task and track software engineers and administrator
  • Produce evidence or requirements for evidence for delivery to internal audit, external audit and/or regulatory inquiry.
  • Work as a liaison between senior management and technology groups with excellent communication skills


Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, a related discipline, or equivalent work experience
  • 10-12 years of information technology or security experience
  • Proven track record of program and framework development using industry best practices
  • Knowledge and experience in System Engineering IVV (Independent Verification and Validation)
  • Knowledge of information security risk principles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Project management experience
  • Knowledge of DevOps toolset (Confluence, JIRA, Git, Jenkins, etc.)
  • Minimum 4 years of management experience, managing staff in global locations
  • Experience working with auditors
  • Ability to work with teams across technical disciplines
Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters or other advanced degree in computer science or a related discipline
  • Experience in the financial services industry
  • Experience with Splunk or other reporting tools
  • Automation or software testing/validation experience
  • Understanding or experience with programming (Python/PowerShell preferred)
  • Knowledge of robotic process automation (RPA)
  • Working knowledge of public cloud architectures
  • Industry security certifications such as CISSP/SSCP or GIAC/GSEC
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, advanced degree preferred. 10+ years of experience in information security or related technology experience required, experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
