\rThe Graphic Designer will work in creative project teams within the Creative Services Center of Excellence to ensure delivery of work that is targeted to the marketing communications objectives and expectations of HBT businesses as defined in the creative brief, while building the brand. He or she will concept, design, and do production, direct photography, video and illustration for digital, print and branded environments. He or she will support presentation design for internal and external comms.


1. Creative excellence

  • Develops concepts and designs as directed in the brief. Marries the written word with visual design to create powerful compelling messages for Honeywell customer marketing.
  • Communicates conceptual and stylistic direction on projects to other creative team members.
  • Works within Creative, Digital, Trade Shows & Events, Honeywell Design Language System workstreams to establish continuity in branding and voice
  • Learns from, cross-trains, and coaches other members of the Honeywell global creative and digital team
  • Creates and shares best design and production practices in print, digital/web, exhibit, packaging, video, social media\r\r

    2. Marketing Communications Functional Effectiveness

    • Helps develop and trains others on templates, standards and Design Language Strategy Reinvents less, optimizes more
    • Maintains project management, and digital asset management processes and repositories
    • Supports individual HBT businesses design services as requested, as well as HBT corporate level initiatives
    • Understands the HBT structure and its businesses, markets, audiences and customer journeys
    • Presents solutions, helps refine Creative Briefs, interprets strategy and ties it to tactical deliverables \r\r

      \r3. Management of outside resources

      • Maintains relationship with, supports and provides direction to agencies, photographers, videographers, animators, designers, studios, artists, etc.
      • Works within project budgets reporting back to creative supervisor and project managers as needed\r\r

        4. Brand Compliance

        • Follows processes for proofing, template consistency, and Honeywell brand compliance
        • Enforces brand standards and Design Language Strategy, leads and directs Brand Migration work \r\r

          5. Web, e-Marketing and Social Media

          • Assists in execution of HBT Digital Marketing strategy
          • Designs and provides web content, including the ongoing maintenance of copy/graphics and other visual assets
          • Works with copy and SM team to develop integrated, effective social media content and posts.
          • Maintains thorough knowledge of best practices, platform requirements, testing and analytics

            YOU MUST HAVE

            • Bachelors Degree\r\t
            • \t3 plus years creating integrated communications campaigns\r\t
            • \t1 or more years of experience in creative, print and digital production processes across entire customer marketing mix\r\t
            • \t1 of more years of experience with DAM/CMS software and online project management tools\r\t
            • \t1 or more years experience with Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat Pro \r\t
            • \tFluent in English\r\r

              • \tFamiliarity with Adobe digital tools, DPS, web, 3D rendering, animation, video editing\r\t

              • \tCapacity to work in a geographically dispersed organization\r\t
              • \tInterpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly establish and maintain rapport\r
