Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an experienced Graphic Artist. The successful candidate will join our high performing team and develop graphics for technical documentation and training materials for the most advanced military sensors and systems, integrated on platforms, such as: F-22 Raptor, F-16 Fighting Falcon, F-35 Lightning II, E3 AWACS, E-7A Wedgetail, B1-B Lancer, AN/ZPY-1 STARLite, and AN/TPS-80 G/ATOR.

+ Develops, designs, lays out, and coordinates editorial illustrations and creative artwork for technical publications and 3D graphics in order to translate facts and features of subject material into graphic terms that best convey intended meaning.
+ Develops interpretive themes that convey ideas and information.
+ Modifie s engineering graphics to meet customer requirements in conformance with established quality standards for drawings.
+ Creates graphics for presentations that communicate mood, emphasis, insight, viewpoint, and similar visual impressions.
+ Provides guidance on graphic technology.
+ Works closely with internal company contacts to understand requirements and create cost-efficient graphic designs through available mediums.
+ Develops and creates orthographic, isometric, and perspective drawings using engineering drawings/models, photographs, or rough sketches.
+ Provides computer graphic services for web artwork.
+ Provides input on reproduction and printing processes through in-house resources or outside vendors.
+ Additional duties as assigned.


**Basic Qualifications** **:**

+ Bachelor's degree in Art, Graphic Arts, Media Arts, 2-5 years' experience and 0 years' experience with Master's.
+ Ability to learn to research engineering data, drawings, CAD models, technical manuals, and other subject matter/source data to develop and sustain technical publication graphics.
+ Proficiency in Adobe CS and basic concept of graphic design and layout.
+ Ability to read blueprint and engineering/drafting specifications.
+ Ability to meet project deadlines and schedules.
+ Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
+ Good problem solving and organization skills.
+ U.S. Citizen with Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance (or higher).

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Proficient in the use of CATIA V5, NX, PTC IsoDraw/CREO, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
+ Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI).
+ Ability to obtain and maintain SAP/SAR clearance.
+ Ability to develop technical illustrations in accordance with Government DoD specifications and Statement of Work requirements
