Graduate Associate Territory Manager - Solihull

Abbott Diabetes Care (ADC) is recruiting for an entry level Associate Territory Manager to be based in the Solihull area.

The role includes educating and training physicians, nurses and patients on FreeStyle Libre, developing and leveraging customer advocacy for ADC and its brands and executing account plans to increase ADC sales and market share. You will be an integral member of the team, at the forefront of diabetes care innovation.


  • Promotion of ADC products (FreeStyle Libre, Digital Ecosystem and BGM) plus services to CCG/Health Board/Trusts, focusing on diabetes centres, target primary care accounts and key clinical & market access customers across the LHE.
  • Planning and delivering optimal working days and coverage & frequency of target accounts/customers, whilst also managing administrative responsibilities. Organising own time effectively to maximise customer contact to take advantage of strategic business opportunities.
  • Identifying and pulling through opportunities within local target accounts to develop ADC business
  • Identifying key stakeholders within target accounts and developing comprehensive stakeholder and influencer maps within each account plan.
  • Achieve a high level of customer satisfaction by ensuring the successful implementation of ADC solutions and services.
  • Optimise the use of resource and “sampling / patient support” in target accounts.
  • Upgrading patients onto the FreeStyle Libre Flash Glucose Monitoring system and Libreview, and ensuring the collation of all patient information ensuring effective retention of patients.
  • Training & educating physicians, nurses, and patients in the use of FreeStyle Libre and linked products and embedding Libre, AGP and Libreview as the new standard of care for routine clinical practice.
  • To engage all strategic customers and key influencers identified within the stakeholder map, and working in conjunction with Regional Manager and Market Access Specialist, ensure the effective positioning of ADC products and services, to deliver sustainable market share growth
  • Working effectively to manage own responsibilities as a member of the account team, jointly working on target accounts to optimise the implementation and pull through of formularies to ensure strong and sustained sales growth across the portfolio
  • Creating and driving bespoke development plan with RM, to maximise professional growth and in-role expertise. Full engagement with field coaching processes, “buddy” programmes, training and development workshops and on-line training programmes.
  • Attending and participating in regional meetings, conferences, and account planning meetings, and executing and translating national strategy into effective local account management.
  • Interpreting sales data to maximize effectiveness (e.g. sales vs. competitor sales, market share etc.) and to ensure that account potential is fully realised.
  • Carrying out administrative work accurately and on time, including call reporting, regular business planning and market intelligence feedback


    Deliver agreed KPIs on TM promoted products:

    • Sales v Target, new account wins, patient acquisition and incremental market share growth within target ADC accounts
    • Accountability for promotion of ADC brands to DSNs, primary care customers, clinical & market access leads within target accounts.
    • Working as part of the local account management team, supporting the development and execution of robust account plans.
    • Patient upgrades in target accounts
    • Implementation of project / account wins



      You will ideally be degree qualified, but will ultimately be looking to forge a career in the medical device sales industry. Previous sales experience is preferred, however evident passion, enthusiasm and drive are the key characteristics we seek.

      As a field based role, you will also need to be able to demonstrate a track record of accomplishing your objectives, working proactively, and managing your own time effectively.

      A full driving licence is essential.
