Citi Global Wealth (GWM) is an integration of Citi Private Bank and the Consumer Wealth organization into a single platform enabling Citi to serve its clients across the wealth spectrum and capitalize on Citis industry leading capabilities to support the goal of GWM, which is to be the leading wealth management provider globally. As we embark on this journey, it is imperative to have a strong Risk & Control framework, supporting this goal through an independent but integral Internal Control organization.

This role is responsible for developing and delivering end-to-end disciplines, processes, and practices for effective management across the GWM Risk & Controls organization, specifically related to program management disciplines and delivery of strategic control initiatives.

This role will report to the Operational Risk Regulatory Program Management Office (PMO), Reg Initiatives, GWM Integration, and Transformation Head for GWM.


+ Support in defining and managing organizational strategy, goals, performance indicators, and strategic initiatives, including regulatory remediation and integration.

+ Leadership in the prioritization, definition, documentation, agreement, and tracking of key functional goals, strategies, and plans.

+ Execution of reporting against regulatory obligations including preparation for regulatory meetings and provision of updates on key remediation activities.

+ Implementation of common PMO standards, reporting, and closure processes across regulatory remediation efforts in a consistent manner.

+ Communication of significant remediation issues and management of the deployment of central teams to accelerate related execution, if, and, as needed.

+ Identification and examination of redundant functions and processes and identification and implementation of actions to continuously improve effectiveness and efficiency.

+ Planning and coordinating day-to-day activities related to the portfolio of strategic control initiatives.

+ Support in developing and enhancing the framework and establishing standards for the execution of strategic control initiatives, inclusive of interaction with and requirements for functions not directly under GWM Risk & Controls management governance and oversight.

+ Enhancement of the safety and soundness of Citi by developing trusted networks, engaging in information sharing and best practice evaluations.

+ Identification and provision of recommendations, where needed, for combining or connecting programs and initiatives to achieve greater effectiveness and efficiency.

+ Collaboration across ICG and GCB to ensure programs have clearly identified the required roles and responsibilities and have appropriately identified and engaged Citi stakeholders with appropriate accountability.

+ Completion of accurate weekly reporting on program delivery, issue management tracking, and cross-dependency management for GWM.

+ Focus on continuous control improvements across all areas to ensure continued improvement of the control framework in an efficient, cost effective, streamlined, and value-add manner.


+ 10-15 years of demonstrated performance in a highly regulated environment

+ Experience in the implementation of Compliance programs and projects

+ Experience in change management implementation

+ Openness to challenge and continuously challenging the status quo

+ Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex concepts in a concise manner

+ Strong judgment and problem-solving skills grounded in conceptual thinking; the ability to solve for a root cause rather than symptoms

+ Demonstrated leader capable of driving change

+ Ability to set priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced, highly matrix, dynamic environment

+ Self-motivated, highly adaptive, and able to work well under high stress

+ Excellent oral and written communication skills


+ Bachelors degree; experience in compliance, legal or other control-related function in the financial services firm, regulatory organization, or legal/consulting firm, or a combination thereof; extensive experience in area of focus; previous experience managing a diverse staff

Advanced degree (e.g., JD, MBA) and certifications (CFA, FRM) preferred
