The Trade Structuring Senior Group Manager role will be responsible for originating, developing and leading transformative and complex transactions, as well as new-to-market product offerings. While a core responsibility will remain delivering best-in-class solutioning and execution to our clients, a successful candidate will also bring ideas to deliver alpha and growth across the Trade business with an entrepreneurial spirit.


The candidate must have deep experience leading complex financing transactions across the globe, and is expected to collaborate with corporates, financial sponsors, fintechs, investors/lenders, counsels, and accountants to develop financings and build new solutions. Experience executing securitization and synthetic securitization / risk transfer transactions is preferred.


This role is a global role; however, this candidate will also act as structuring lead for North America. The role reports directly to the Global Head of Trade Structuring.


Key Responsibilities


+ Lead development of execution capabilities to address new market needs/products and an expanded target market, including e-commerce, inventory finance, and Citis Commercial Bank / middle market clients

+ Originate, lead execution and provide oversight of new trade transactions in partnership with sales and client management

+ Define the best structure for the client need considering the impact for both the client and Citi in all aspects including accounting treatment, RWA/balance sheet constrains, level of recourse, operational ease and risk, x-border limits, and legal vehicle usage

+ Partner with distribution and balance sheet management desks to ensure adequate market appetite and manage internal capital objectives; develop and lead bank syndicates for outsized transactions

+ Generate bundled offerings and new origination / distribution channels with capital markets, with an emphasis on emerging markets

+ Collaborate with portfolio management / operations to ensure an efficient and sustainable funding, operational, reconciliation and middle office processes

+ Identify and validate prospects based on market research and knowledge in order to contribute to the expansion of business pipeline and revenue growth

+ Identify replicable structures and opportunities across industry sectors and regions, and generate better connectivity amongst transactors in each region


**Qualifications:**


+ Bachelors/University degree, Masters degree preferred and managerial experience

+ 15+ years of experience, including 8-10+ years' managerial experience

+ Extensive Trade Product and Credit Risk Management and Principle experience

+ Knowledge of the Citi Infrastructure processes in regards to Risk management and Operational processing within a respective region

+ Exceptional organization skills
