Position Summary

Delivers training for field service engineers evaluating laboratory facilities for adequacy of equipment installations. Provides feedback regarding effectiveness of programs and makes recommendations to increase effectiveness and efficiency. Will travel up to around 30% (maybe more) globally. This position can based in Dallas, TX (ideal) or Abbott Park, IL or remotely within the USA.

Additional Main Responsibilities

Delivers training strategy and plan to support customer and/or employee training including front-of classroom and field observation activities.

Acts as central point of contact for new employees and liaison to training program managers.

Supports training events and courses for new employees and existing employees, including class, people, strategy and business, incorporates feedback to continually improve program.


This position has training responsibility for all facilities engineering and customer training within the Commercial Service organization.

Will be expected to apply and leverage proven experience in training hospital facilities engineering personnel along with education (or related work experience) in either mechanical or electrical engineering. 

Includes oversight of employee performance during new hire training.


4-year Bachelor’s Degree preferred or relevant experience training facilities engineering personnel and demonstrating the equivalent skills. Minimum 2 years of related experience   At least 2 years’ experience in a field based sales/service/support role necessary. Must understand basic learning principles and adult learning theory. Presentation skills, and consultative skills necessary. Must have diagnostic product knowledge. Must have a demonstrated, proven track record of driving for results.
