**Job Purpose:**


This is a Business Management position that supports the Global Sales & Client Coverage organization. Citi is experiencing significant market momentum within the Securities Services industry, and this role is instrumental in the support of the Sales and Client Service & Solutions teams for Securities Services (covering Custody, Fund Services and Execution Services)


This role reports to the Global COO as well as the Global Head of Sales & Client Coverage.


The position will drive strategic initiatives allowing the business to continue growing in a controlled and regulated environment: it is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned business management / product professional to be impactful at a strategic and global level as well as in the practical execution of growth priorities for the business. Responsibilities will include strategy, performance, execution, communication and governance, working across Sales, Client Coverage, Product, Regional Management, Finance, Risk, Operations and Technology.


The role will lead the commercial pricing team that supports the Sales organization in the client related pricing and commercial decisions.


The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of success and demonstrate prior experience of supporting a global client franchise with a flexible leadership style as the role involves interactions at multiple levels of the Securities Services and regional organization as well as across business lines within ICG. The role requires hand-on people management, problem solving and leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment, and with colleagues who may not be in the same geographic location. In addition, the candidate must have excellent verbal and written communications as well as analytics and presentation skills.


**Key Responsibilities:**


**Core Business Management Functions**


+ Partner with Global Sales & Client Coverage management to ensure the efficient administration of the business

+ Own the monthly/quarterly business review (MBR/QBR) preparation and support

+ Lead the Commercial pricing team.

+ Manage and improve business metrics and key performance indicators

+ Initiate and lead short, medium and long term projects to achieve business objectives. Projects may be related to revenue growth, regulatory or market changes, expense reduction and process improvement

+ Contribute to internal and external governance materials and forums focused on business management or commercial objectives

+ Collaborate closely with In-Business Risk & Controls, Operations, Finance, Legal, Compliance and Technology to ensure the smooth functioning of the business

+ Drive talent initiatives


**Business Performance, Margin Improvement and Productivity**


+ Perform strategic analysis of product opportunities and objective assessment of current and potential performance

+ Understand the external and internal performance drivers of each product / function, be able to articulate verbally and numerically the key variables for success/improved performance, and execution strategies

+ Drive Profitability development and client segment strategies, including data quality, client analytics and MIS development


**Business Skills**


+ Demonstrate experience in and understanding of Securities Services products, clients and services.

+ Understand the key financial drivers of the business from top line revenues and expenses and down to the product, region and client level economics.

+ Keen analytical skills to link our financial drivers and how to improve our margin through identifying key revenue and expense opportunities

+ Keen analytical skills to link client drivers to revenue growth.

+ Understand the importance of technology and operational/financial control to the success of the business.

+ Demonstrate ability to manage complex projects and lead cross functional teams without direct management authority.


**Communication Skills**


+ Foster excellent relationships between the business and the support/control functions.

+ Ensure effective communication of management messages to teams / partners

+ Demonstrate ability to operate with all levels of management


**Required Technical Capabilities**


+ Strong understanding of the sources of financial and operational data from within the Citi organization

+ Financial analytics skills

+ Expert MS Office skills including Excel and PowerPoint.

**Qualifications**


**Knowledge/Experience:**


+ An experienced person who has performed a similar support or business management role for extensive years in a large organization.

+ Experience in the Financial Services industry, and Securities Services product in particular, is preferred


**Skills:**


+ Strong leadership skills and ability to manage cross-functional teams.

+ Excellent communications skills (written / verbal) at all organizational levels.

+ Results/task orientated with excellent attention to detail.

+ Ability to manage and prioritize effectively and resolve conflicting priorities.

+ Ability to work well as part of a team and autonomously.

+ Excellent MS Office skills including Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
