The Product Manager (PM) is responsible for setting the Global strategic direction and implementation of activities that will lead to a customer-centric and goal achievement culture, focusing on optimizing customer satisfaction and economic profit for their particular product line. The PM is responsible for developing and executing a global marketing plan for their particular product line that is developed through collaboration with affiliate marketing teams and defines the market opportunity, key customer needs, and differentiates our products from the competition.

Competition and Positioning: Thoroughly understand competitive offerings and provide the commercial teams with appropriate positioning and tools stressing relevant differentiation. Develop sales tools (literature, brochures, website, and all media), training materials, and sales and customer communications to support sales and the customers. Comprehend channel marketing efforts and requirements in managing development of promotional media.

Physician Relationships: Build relationships with key customers, thought leaders, trade associations, and industry players to facilitate physician engagement and increase positive visibility of Abbott.

Internal Communication:  Provides leadership by representing the customer with internal project teams. Develop and implement marketing strategy for product line. Works closely with Sales and global counterparts to develop and execute product marketing strategies. Manages the marketing aspects of projects involving cross functional groups.

External Communication: Interface with customers, commercial team, consultants, marketing research firms, ad agencies, and other vendors to effectively manage and grow business profitably, while maintaining a customer focus woven throughout all activities.

Bachelor's Degree required, MBA a plus   · healthcare experience – 3 years minimum or equivalent background experience · Marketing experience - 2 years minimum. · Product launch experience · Project management experience · Excellent written and verbal communication skills · Prefer working in a collaborative, cross-team capacity. This role requires you to work across functions and departments to bring the product to life. You are at the center of our entire organization, constantly interacting with teammates and other cross-functional groups. The position requires an understanding of both the technology and capabilities of AV’s endovascular products, market and customer dynamics, and functional operations across departments. Must have demonstrated leadership capability and an understanding of the sales process for medical devices. Additionally, the successful candidate will exhibit: · Positive attitude. · Leadership: Desire and ability to lead the organization to ensure goals achievement. · Excellent verbal, written, and presentation/communication skills. · Deep understanding of the complexities of medical device market and customer needs · Ability to develop, rationalize, and present strategy. · Strong analytical and computer skills, with working knowledge of financial models. Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and resourcefulness.
