This position engages with healthcare teams in the performance of Endoscopic procedures, specifically operating equipment. \n

Qualifications:

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and ability to read and comprehend at a 12th Grade Level or above. Must be able to read, understand and implement instructions related to proper cleaning and high level disinfection of gastrointestinal endoscopes and accessories as well as various complex therapeutic modalities. Completion of an accredited medical assistant course is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, experience and training. \n

Requires certification as a GI Technical Specialist from the Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (SGNA). Completion of SGNA GI Advance Assistant program preferred. \n

\n

Requires moderate physical strength in moving, and adjusting equipment. Requires good auditory and visual acuity and good manual dexterity. Requires a mature attitude and ability to maintain good rapport with patients, families, physicians, and other medical center personnel.",
