General Management Development Program

Start date: June 8th, 2020

Aetna, a CVS Health company, is the nation's premier health innovation company helping people on their path to better health. We are building a new health care model that is easier to use, less expensive, and puts the consumer at the center of their care.

The General Management Development Program (GMDP) is a full-time, four-and-a-half-year rotational program to take your skills to the next level in your career. Aetnas president, Karen Lynch, is the program sponsor.

Each of the three rotations will immerse you in a key business area what we call the growth engines of Aetna. These areas fuel our efforts to create a simpler, more affordable, and higher-quality health care system for employers, doctors, and consumers. Each rotation lasts 18 months and is packed with on-the-job experience to position you for success as a future leader. The location of each rotation will vary, so relocation is required.

In addition to learning fundamental technical skills, through this program participants will improve proficiency on the following General Manager competencies.

Defining a Compelling Strategy

Delivering Financial and Business Results

Building Talent and Teams

Developing Meaningful Relationships

**Required Qualifications**

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines

**Preferred Qualifications**

You should:

Have a willingness to relocate

Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines

Possess strong analytical and problem resolution skills

Encourage teamwork and a positive environment to improve team effectiveness

Be resourceful and can quickly and successfully adapt to change

Be able to communicate effectively with a diverse audience


You should be currently pursuing a Bachelors degree, focused in Business, Management, or other relevant majors

Have a 3.3+ cumulative GPA

Anticipated graduation dates of December 2018-June 2020
