Purpose of Position: 


The Manager of the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) is a grant funded position responsible for leading support staff and managing the Centers supportive services, benefits and long-term option planning services that are available to older adults, disabled individuals and their families.  Responsible for developing and implementing policy, procedures and protocols related to the ADRC and outreach support services. 


 


Duties and Responsibilities: 


ADRC Responsibilities :



  • Maintain and oversee the ADRC program including developing and implementing policies, procedures and protocols related to outreach and supportive services delivery to older adults, disabled adults and their families.  

  • Provide information, options counseling, needs assessments and referrals to older or disabled individuals in order to help facilitate preliminary care planning with financial, health or human services. 

  • Conduct home visits to assist clients with direct services including referrals and assessments as needed.

  • Plan and implement on-going publicity and promotional activities to ensure visibility of the program.  Attends and participates in activities in order to establish and maintains relationships with community agencies and support groups in order to broaden the initiatives exposure and identify potential partnerships within the community. 

  • Maintain and update or revise client records and service documentation.  Collect data and track outcome measurement based on services provided and client feedback. 

  • Responsible for ensuring operational standards of the ARDC and grant requirements are adhered to.  Ensure staff and program comply with United Ways policy and procedures, grant requirements and applicable laws and regulations.    

  • Maintains database records and compiles timely and accurate reports that document key elements of the program and information about clients and services received.    

  • Grant management and reporting in accordance with the grant requirements.



Relationship and Resource Management:



  • Work to establish and maintain relationships with community leaders and stakeholders or agencies in order to support the initiatives of the ADRC.    

  • Research, identify and develop partnership and funding sources for securing external, financial and in-kind support for projects.   



Leadership Management:



  • Provide supervision and support assistance to staff regarding best practices and emerging trends in support and service programs available to older adults, disabled adults and their families.   

  • Responsible for workforce planning.   Participate with hiring and firing decisions; interviewing, selecting or collaborating on pay scales.  Provide training and mentoring for incoming or existing staff. 

  • Assist with performance evaluations, disciplinary actions and conflict resolution. 

  • Foster an atmosphere of teamwork and ensures the development of staff by creating an environment for achieving personal and professional goals. 



Other Duties:



  • Other responsibilities as assigned. 

  • Manage two agency partner financial assistance programs.

Qualifications: 



  • Required Education and Experience: 


    • Minimum 4-year degree in a relevant field 

    • 2 years of programs/project administration or other relevant experience.   

    • Supervisory experience, preferred 

    • Must have reliable transportation and car insurance 

    • Submit and clear specialized background checks including but not limited FBI and BCII criminal checks.

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment which includes but not limited to the following:  


    • Some local travel/occasional overnight travel

    • Ability and means to travel on a flexible schedule as needed, proof of liability and property damage insurance on vehicle used is required 

    • Occasionally required to stand walk; sit; use hands to fingers; hand or feel objects; tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. 

    • Employees may need to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs. 

    • The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal
