Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Mgr. Systems Engineering. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force's sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.

Within GBSD Systems Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT), the Specialty Systems Engineering Command and Launch (SSE C&L) provides oversight and guidance for the essential functions for Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD), Early Production, and Deployment contract execution as well as GBSD program SSE Value Enhancement (NCTA) efforts. The SSE C&L Lead reports to the Specialty Systems Engineering (SSE) Lead and works as the primarily focal point for Command and Launch (C&L) integrated product team (IPT). This includes functional management and CAM responsibilities. This person is also DOA for the SSE Lead when required.
The SSE team includes the following disciplines: Nuclear Hardness and Survivability (NH&S), Electromagnetic Environments and Effects (EEE), Parts, Material and Processes (PM&P), Human Systems Integration (HSI) and all aspects of safety including system safety, explosives safety, range safety, software safety, and Environmental Safety and Occupational Health (ESOH).

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

**Qualifications:**

**Basic Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline from an ABET accredited university with 7+ years of engineering experience OR
+ Master's Degree in a STEM (Science, technology, Engineering or Math) discipline from an ABET accredited university with 5+ years of engineering experience
+ Previous project management experience for technical, cost, and schedule milestones
+ Previous experience leading technical teams including responsibility for cost and schedule
+ Active Secret clearance with investigation in the last 6 years

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Masters or PhD is preferred.
+ Proven end-to-end systems engineering skills
+ Knowledge of design, analysis, integration and testing for ground systems
+ Experience managing cost, schedule and performance of technical statement of work
+ Experience with personnel development and performance management, including mentoring and development of technical and leadership skills
+ Knowledge of one or more of the SSE disciplines (Nuclear Hardness and Survivability (NH&S), Electromagnetic Environments and Effects (EEE), Parts, Material and Processes (PM&P), Human Systems Integration (HSI) and all aspects of safety including system safety, explosives safety, range safety, software safety, and Environmental Safety and Occupational Health (ESOH).
+ Previous experience leading teams of 10 or more, including responsibility for cost and schedule
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills of the English language is desired
+ Active Top Secret clearance is preferred
