Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a NH&S Staff Systems Engineer to join the team. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Northrop Grumman supports the Air Forces sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.

**What you will get to do:**

The successful candidate for this position will use their experience and education in radiation effects modeling and testing to design systems that will operate in extremely hostile environments. The candidate will guide and mentor junior engineers in the science of nuclear weapon effects modeling and parts/equipment testing

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Qualifications - External

**Youll Bring These Qualifications:**

+ Bachelors Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with 14 years of relative experience or Masters in STEM Degree with 12 years relative experience or PHD with 9 years of relative experience.
+ Minimum 7 years of experience in radiation effects modeling, radiation test planning, or test execution
+ Active DoD Secret clearance granted/investigated in the last 6 years
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills

**These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:**

+ Active Top Secret clearance with investigation in the last 6 years
+ Must be able to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP)
+ Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
+ Strong familiarity with MIL-STD-1766
+ Weapon System experience (Minuteman III or similar military or industry experience)

Salary Range: $139,000.00 - $208,600.00

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
