Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Software Engineer/Principal Software Engineer. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. This position can be filled at multiple levels depending on candidate education and experience.

**What Youll Get To Do:**

Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:

+ Derive and allocate requirements into detailed design
+ Designs, develops and tests displays, controls and functionality
+ Designs, develops and tests simulation software for use in high fidelity simulation based training systems; training systems may include a combination of console and weapon system simulations, virtual reality, and augmented reality
+ Design and develop artificial intelligence algorithms to tutor, assess and evaluate learner knowledge
+ Develops and maintains databases to monitor and analyze learner and system performance
+ Collaborates with Systems and Quality Engineers to ensure software requirements are met
+ Performs software peer reviews, version control, automated tests, software analysis, continuous integration, and continuous delivery in accordance with DevSecOps processes and best practices
+ Performs code quality management and corrects defects
+ Coordinates with HW/SW team to perform retests and regression tests once defects are corrected

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

**Job Qualifications:**

**Youll Bring These Qualifications:**

+ Level 2 Requirements: 2 Years of experience with Bachelors in Science; 0 Years with Masters or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree
+ Level 3 Requirements: 5 Years of experience with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree
+ Active DoD Secret clearance with a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 5 years.
+ US Citizenship and ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP)
+ Experience in software systems development
+ Full lifecycle software development experience
+ Practical experience with deployment automation tools such as chef, puppet or ansible
+ Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Extreme Programming), Scaled Agile Framework SAFe for Lean Enterprises
+ Experience with Java/C/C++ development and/or front-end web development including JavaScript Frameworks (Angular JS or React), HTML, and CSS
+ Familiarity with DevSecOps, continuous integration, and continuous delivery

**These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:**

+ Direct experience with build automation tools such as Jenkins, GoCD, Travis CI or Circle CI
+ Previous practical experience bridging requirements into software design and implementation including active work in DOORs and architecture models through detailed design documentation and into code
+ Experience with working in a fast pace, agile environment with the ability to work on cross-function Scrum team focused on quality and capability delivery
+ Familiarity with DevSecOps, continuous integration, and continuous delivery
+ Familiarity with distributed version control software (Git, Mercurial)
+ Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems
+ Active Top Secret security clearance with adjudication in the last 6 years

Salary Range: $71,100.00 - $131,400.00Salary Range 2: $0.00 - $0.00

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
