Position Specifics:


Seeking Load Test Shop Planner who will be responsible for overseeing all the planning, scheduling and production control efforts in direct support of the Load Test Facility and the Calibration Shop. The selected candidate will work with a diverse team of planners, supervisors and General Foremen responsible to ensure that all material requirements and schedules are met. This includes ensuring proper closure of Service Order Requests, work packages and finalization of material processes for correct accountability of equipment to meet ship schedules for all hulls.


Candidate must have the following to qualify:

Experience with instrument calibration

Familiar with Shipbuilding operations

Responsibilities include:

Managing material availability by procuring, receiving, processing material requirements and activating work packages in an orderly manner to support production needs.

Coordinates planning and scheduling based on the production schedule for the Load Test Facility.

Identify needs and ensure that all required tools and equipment are on hand to accomplish the work.

Creates purchase requisitions and work orders to support maintenance and production requirements.

Prepares notifications for the Shop Foremen to support the maintenance and production requirements.

Facilitates production meetings to ensure material requirements and productions schedules are met


Responsibilities:

Plans utilization of space and facilities for company consistent with requirements of organizational efficiency, and available facilities and funds. Plans, directs and manages all phases of equipment and machinery maintenance, facilities modification and building projects from establishment of design concepts through design and implementation. Ensures project requirements are defined, contract and contract changes are negotiated, operating budgets established, and financial terms/conditions of contract are identified. Acts as primary contact for facilities, and equipment and machinery maintenance, project activities and leads project reviews of cost, schedule and technical performance. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans, budgets and schedules. Identifies problems and develops solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing project scope. May coordinate the work of employees assigned to the project.

**Basic Qualifications:**


3 Years relevant experience with Bachelors; 1 Year relevant experience with Masters; An additional 4 years of specific job experience with a HS diploma may be substituted for the Bachelor's degree requirement for this job. This experience is additional to subsequent relevant years of experience listed with the job's education requirements. Example: If this job required a Bachelor's degree + 5 years relevant experience the equivalency would equal HS diploma + 9 years job related experience.
