Essential Responsibilities 

FPGA Design from concept to production including:

  • Architect and design the assigned FPGA subsystem
  • Generation of VHDL code for programmable logic
  • Verification and Testing of FPGA designs
  • Integration of FPGA code within FPGA devices and other Electrical Engineering subsystems
  • Generation of FPGA documentation for assigned FPGA subsystem as per departmental practice
  • Work with Design Engineering to implement and verify FPGA design corrections
  • Develop FPGA code that meets the FPGA Design departmental practices
  • Provide FPGA support to other areas of the organization including Manufacturing and Engineering
  • Keep in synchronization with FPGA design trends and new technologies
  • Provide input to Hardware design and attend Hardware design reviews
  • Participate in NPI meetings as required
  • Participate in and support product sustaining operations as required

    FPGA Project Leader duties as required:

    • Participate in project planning, estimation and manpower selection
    • Supervise the FPGA design effort of other FPGA Designers on the team
    • Track and report design progress and technical risk to management
    • Act as a mentor to junior FPGA Designers

      As an FPGA Team Member, propose ideas for, and participate in, continuous inter and intra-group innovation.
