FP&A Lead Analyst - U.S. Retail Business Development

The U.S. Retail Bank Finance team supports U.S. Retail Bank product, segment and branch distribution teams by providing financial reporting and analytical insight. The team provides U.S. Retail Bank leadership with an accurate and timely view of its current financial position and prepares forward-looking forecasts. The Finance team manages the budget and business investment processes, performs competitive position analysis and advises executive leadership on key business decisions.


+ Support the U.S. Retail Bank business development effort from a finance perspective

+ Assess returns adequacy of U.S. Retail Bank and certain U.S. Consumer strategic investment opportunities

+ Diligence initiatives, contribute to product and partnership structuring and evaluate merits of initiatives

+ Engage directly and frequently with senior business leadership in the context of business development opportunities, provide objective insight and originate proprietary ideas where appropriate


+ Undergraduate experience in finance or accounting and 3+ years of work experience in an analytical role (investment banking, management consulting preferred)

+ Strong Excel / PowerPoint knowledge required

+ Excellent quantitative and analytical skills required, particularly in the context of assessing the practical and economic merit of an idea

+ Ability to quickly distill key elements of a decision and arrive at macro-level conclusions, particularly around returns adequacy and identification of key economic drivers

+ Ability to create and manage complex financial models and present results to business and finance leadership

+ Strong communication skills, both written and oral

+ Must be efficient, organized and highly motivated

+ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as a part of a broader team
