Collins Aerospace - Sensors, a leader in the design and manufacturing of sensor and precision instrumentation for commercial, military, and business and regional jet aircraft worldwide has an opening for an Accounting Intern. The selected Accounting Intern candidate will work on the Sensors, MN Finance Team and support Finance Managers in day-to-day activities.
Primary Responsibilities:
Operations Support and analytics
Annual operating plan / latest estimate support
Operating expense analysis
Floor checks
Reconciliation and variance analysis
Annual reviews or analysis required to support journal entries and reserve balances
Finance / Accounting related projects
Miscellaneous administrative support functions
Basic Qualifications:
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident Green Card holder
Preferred Qualifications:
Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or related fields from an accredited institution
A GPA of 3.0. or higher
Completed 30 hours of college coursework
Proficient in Excel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Ability to analyze data, raise questions and suggest
improvements/solutions
General knowledge of airline business and/or aviation industry a plus
