**Franchise FP&A - Intermediate Analyst**

The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) - Intermediate Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for providing management with analysis and insight of Citis financial results in coordination with the broader Finance team. The overall objective is to apply analytical thinking, knowledge of data analysis and methodologies to create and analyze reports that gauge Citis alignment with forecasted performance.

+ The open position is in the Franchise team to support Asia / EMEA regions Planning and Analysis (P&A) function.

+ Franchise team is responsible for providing management with an analysis of performance at a total Franchise level across geography(s) and provide insights to gauge if forecasted performance is in line with the Management strategy and goals

+ The candidate is expected to work with Country / Regional FP&A and broader Finance teams in a matrix organization.

**Key Responsibilities:**

+ Create Financial Reports to analyze Citis financial performance working closely with CFO Team, acting as a strategic partner to Business Teams

+ Generate flash results/highlights for Senior Management, Executive Management reports, reviewing financial performance compared to forecast across the Franchise

+ Participate in preparation of materials for Monthly and Quarterly Business / CEO Reviews, Quarterly Earnings Reviews, Annual Planning Reviews and aid using metrics to evaluate proposed business decisions

+ Execute time critical activities for client facing Financial Planning and Analysis teams, assisting in preparing review materials for internal senior business reviews and external regular reviews

+ Building short term and multi year forecast, develop and coordinate the processes and review results against forecast

+ Evaluate forecasts and outlook for Legal entities across all geographies and correct/ highlight any anomalies

+ Conduct various ad hoc analyses and strategically address issues that are complementary to the regular Planning and Analysis processes

+ Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


+ Excellent communications/interpersonal skills (ability to work with colleagues at all levels across multiple locations)

+ Strong analytical and problem solving skills

+ Strong focus on timeliness & accuracy of work delivered, attention to detail is an essential part of the job

+ Demonstrate an ability to learn and desire to develop and improve by challenging the status quo

+ Control Oriented - Focus on documentation and ensure Audit requirements are fulfilled

**Knowledge / Experience:**

+ Individual with 4-7 years of experience

+ Masters degree in Finance (CA / MBA or equivalent)

+ Experience in Corporate finance / financials services will be ideal

+ Good financial analysis and management reporting background

+ Experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power point)

+ Knowledge of Tableau /other digital capabilities will be added advantage

+ Experience in working with data and knowledge of financial reporting tools such as Hyperion Essbase, Interactive Sandbox, SMR would be a plus
