Job Description

Intel's Sales and Marketing Group is looking to hire a Field Sales Applications Engineer to work on the Internet of Things (IOTG) area. This is a commissioned sales position.

Some of the job responsibilities are, but not limited to:

  • Responsible for managing the relationship between Intel and customers by establishing and cultivating relationships with key individuals at accounts.
  • This role will be responsible for influencing and developing new designs and revenue streams in the area of Internet of Things (IoT), accelerating the solution development to deployment of Intel End to End IoT solutions.
  • Hunt for & build a strong business relationship, formulate account plans within the assigned accounts and collaborate with Intel's internal stakeholders to grow accounts beyond typical in-country business for successful deployment of IoT solutions.
  • To Identify, develop and build strong business relationship with customers for the successful influence of IoT solutions, respond to their sales & technical decision-makers' needs and involve different internal resources to support them.
  • Maintain up to date detailed knowledge of Intel's products & be able to present and discuss the technology and benefits in terms that are relevant to customers' products/solutions/services.

This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Relevant experience can be obtained through school work, classes and project work, internships and/or work experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or a Master's Degree in Engineering with business background OR Business Degree with engineering background.
  • Advanced Level of Portuguese & English for Business.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Desired 1+ year experience influencing and managing customer relationships in a technical community environment.
  • Desired 1+ year showing, promoting, influencing and selling technical products and/or services. This includes knowledge and skills in marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and Public Speaking/Presentations.
  • Understanding of a variety of popular technologies in the space of AI & IoT, including Open Vino, Python, TensorFlow, Caffe, Keras, MXnet.
  • Knowledge of embedded Linux, device driver, WSN, protocol stack (such as WiFi, BlueTooth, ZigBee, ModBus, BacNet), system software, C/C++, Java is strongly desired.
  • An added advantage is experienced in IoT product or solution development lifecycle, IOT Solution Sales or Technical influence to new designs development.
  • Knowledge on firmware, operating system (open source and proprietary), virtualization technology, networking technology (IP network, WLAN, WWLAN) and security (TLS/SSL, VPN) will also be advantageous.
  • Understanding of IoT Solution markets.
