AppDynamics is looking for a Field Marketing Manager to support our busy and growing Field Marketing & Strategic events team in the North region. The successful applicant will be a hungry and hardworking self-starter, determined to forge a career in technology event marketing.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Execute a variety of strategic event marketing programs to fuel the pipeline, drive revenue, meet sales targets and corporate goals
  • Build positive relationships with sales leadership within the region to build events to support their region and achieve their goals
  • Liaise between the regional sales team and the various functions of corporate marketing
  • Lead multiple events each quarter successfully in a reciprocal environment
  • Research and report creative event options, off-site venues, and entertainment based on program format and budget
  • Lead external agencies and vendors as well as work with internal teams; creative email marketing, product marketing, sales and web team. These relationships will tie directly to the success of the field programs.
  • Provide onsite event support, registration management and other
  • Lead executive briefing documents and meetings for Executive Events
  • Planning meetings and post event summaries for all partners
  • Possess extensive project management skills; running an event from its inception all the way to post event reporting (running in conjunction with Marketing Operations team)
  • Complete all internal documents; seeing them through the approval structure (Purchase Request and Return on Investment)
  • Own and be responsible for all deliverables and timelines
  • Act as the main point of contact for all external vendors as well as employees in order to effectively communicate our event presence
  • Balance budget allocation and reconciliation
  • Build timely post show reporting statistics (post show documents, financial reconciliation, lead input and Salesforce campaign creation)

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Excellent social skills and ability to balance cross-department relationships
  • Ability to multi-task and run multiple projects at once while remaining fiscally responsible
  • 5+ years of project management experience specializing in large scale and targeted marketing programs
  • Ability to collaborate with a team; comfortable with bringing abstract brainstorming ideas to concrete points of action
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to creatively negotiate demands
  • Be a self-starter taking initiative while simultaneously being able to adapt to sudden changes and work with minimal supervision
  • Experience in managing budgets
  • Results-oriented, customer driven, organized with attention to detail
  • Ability to assess and prioritize workload in a deadline and project-based environment
  • Experience with on-line registration systems and reporting
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (MS Access, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and, Marketo and Salesforce.com
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel when required
  • Approximately 30% travel, but up to 50% during peak event times
