Facility Operations Call Center Technician

The Data Center Infrastructure Operations organization is looking for an individual with proven skills to help support our Facility Operations Center. The Facility Operations Center is responsible for 24X7 monitoring of the data center€™s physical infrastructure. This team will ensure that the customer experience will be optimal and gratifying by way of consistency, reliability and attention to detail.

The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of Infrastructure, have proficient computer and communication skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing assistance and support to the onsite operations teams. The position will help ensure overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels. Roles, Responsibilities and Requirements (job description is not meant to be an all-inclusive statement of every duty and responsibility required):
· Able to properly respond, acknowledge, investigate, and dispatch critical alarms
· Monitor the global facility infrastructure platform
· Will perform change management tasks
· Create and cut tickets
· Follow verbal and written directions in English
· Required to work shift, overtime, and/or rotating schedules to support a 24X7 environment (This is rotating shift work which requires that you work weekends, nights, holidays and overtime)


· 1+ year control/operation/call center experience or Associate€™s Degree in relevant discipline
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook


· 2+ Years€™ Experience in Data Center Engineering, Operations or Operations Center Environment
· Bachelor€™s Degree or Technical (Military/ Trade School) Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline
· Good verbal and written English communication skills.
· Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Good judgment and instincts.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook
· Able to prioritize in a complex, fast-paced environment.
· Maintains professionalism under pressure.
· Meets/exceeds Amazon€™s leadership principles requirements for this role
· Meets/exceeds Amazon€™s functional/technical depth and complexity
