Responsibilities Humana is seeking a Design intern for Experience Center that will be responsible for: + Within a design pair, develop the design and research assets necessary for product success, which include, but are not limited to, the following: customer journeys, user flows, sitemaps, research plans, paper prototypes, sketches, wireframes, visual designs, clickthrough prototypes, discussion guides, screeners, research insights, remote tests, and research reports. + Uncover user needs in order to craft how users will interact with our products / services. + Co-create with both XC team members and our internal stakeholders to understand user and business needs, identify design opportunities, and create meaningful experiences. + Be a great storyteller by preparing product demos and engaging stakeholders with design decisions. By the completion of the internship, the student can expect to have: + Experience working with cross-functional and balanced teams + Knowledge of how designers work with engineers, data scientists and product managers + Experience with design pairing practice for product design (UX/UI) + Experience with design research practices such as remote usability testing, in person interviews, qualitative research, quantitative analysis Working together, we will: + Have specific opportunities to make healthcare better for our members, transform the future of care today, while working with engineers to build and deliver technology. + Engage in ongoing activities that enable us to learn, practice, and evolve design to integrate it into a more agile and efficient process. + Collaborate on products and services that change the way our members enroll, seek, and establish care. Required Qualifications + Currently pursuing Bachelors or Masters degree in a related field + Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills + A portfolio demonstrating understanding of the end-to-end design process. + Ability to learn new software quickly + Ability to create design assets (e.g., customer journeys, flows, wireframes, visual designs, etc.). + Interest in user-centered design processes. + Interest and/or knowledge of rapid prototyping methods, ranging from paper sketching to digital prototypes. + Must not require sponsorship to work in the U.S. now or in the future Preferred Qualifications + Have a strong academic history, with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA being desired + Be actively involved on-campus and/or in the community + Possess an interest in working in the healthcare industry + HTML / CSS / JS skills are a plus. + Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, InVision, or Axure is a plus Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 About Us Mission: At Humana, our cultural foundation is aligned to helping members achieve their best health by delivering personalized, simplified, whole-person healthcare experiences.
