North America Executive Recruiting Consultant

This is an I9 Executive Recruiting Consultant position reporting to the VP of Global Executive Search.   As a member of the Global Executive Search team, this position will primarily focus on US openings at the VP and above level but may work on roles in other GEOâs  and/or professional level searches as needed.   While there are advantages to a Hopkinton or Austin location, the location may be flexible depending on the candidate. 

Job Description

The Executive Recruiting Consultant is responsible for managing the end to end recruitment process with an emphasis on hiring the best talent for the overall leadership bench for Dell Technologies.   At Dell we firmly believe that diversity has a direct positive benefit to the business; this role is responsible for not only identifying and presenting qualified diverse talent, but also for mitigating unconscious bias within the assessment and selection process.

The role has tremendous visibility by the Executive Team, with direct responsibility for all recruiting efforts for assigned VP and above positions.  This includes gaining a full understanding of the essence of the role and context of the business necessary for candidate identification, assessing candidates, orchestrating line engagement throughout the interview process, and negotiating candidate offers.    As the primary relationship to the candidate, the Executive Recruiting Consultant will ensure effectiveness of onboarding, immigration, and relocation, working through other organizations as appropriate.   

Critical to the success of the role is superior account management with high satisfaction by hiring managers and a strong ability to collaborate within Executive Search, TA, the line, and HR Business Partners. The Executive Recruiting Consultant should provide a superior candidate experience and strong representation of candidate diversity within the selection process.

Consultative Skills:

  • Effectively influences search approach, viewed as a highly credible subject matter expert at the highest levels of executive leadership
  • Takes lead in orchestrating the search, to include sourcing strategy, attraction process, selection process, closing strategy and effective on-boarding
  • Establishes a well formulated point of view regarding candidates
  • Able to decipher, interpret, and influence complicated compensation and equity scenarios

    • Provides input on implementation of corporate programs to address local client needs

          Principle Duties and Responsibilities

          • Finds and influences the hire of the best executives, not just for the role but for Dellâs leadership bench
          • Works on high pressure, highly visible and unusually complex initiatives with strong accountability, judgement and EQ.    
          • Ability to exploit, leverage and adhere to required processes and systems that are either advantageous in achieving best results or are required to adhere to corporate or compliance mandates
          • Seeks to understand and applies advanced recruiting principles, theories, and concepts (e.g. the opportunities and effects of Artificial Intelligence in Recruitment and in Exec Search)
          • Contributes to the existing strong brand strong performance from hiring executives and candidates.   Also valued as an asset to the TA team as a high value resource when capacity warrants.
          • Provides solutions that are highly creative. Uses independent judgment to accomplish objectives

            Required Experience

            • Demonstrated confidence in working with senior leaders  and account management skills to orchestrate high pressure and/or highly visible searches
            • Experience strategizing search techniques and effective hunting skills
            • Superior experience assessing senior talent
            • Experience negotiating complex offers
            • Exceptional track record of hiring top talent
            • Strong organizational, customer service, and communication skills
            • Demonstrated ability, desire, willingness and reputation for collaboration and teamwork to help others and the self-confidence shown by asking  for help when needed
            • 10+ years in recruiting with focus on senior level/highly skilled candidates
