EXECUTIVE OFFICE

The Executive Office plays an integral role in setting and advancing Goldman Sachs strategy and in supporting and enhancing the firms distinctive culture. The Office of Government Affairs aims to advance the firm's public policy agenda, promote constructive relations with governments and regulators, and serve as a source of information inside the firm about government and public policy. The Analyst will be based in Hong Kong and work closely alongside Government Affairs professionals in Hong Kong, Beijing, and Tokyo.This position provides the appropriate candidate with a unique opportunity to work with colleagues throughout the firm on matters critical to the firm's relationships with key government officials, and to advance the firm's commercial strategy.Responsibilities:\u2022 Monitoring political, policy and regulatory developments which may impact the firm or key clients\u2022 Preparing briefings and presentations for internal stakeholders, including management and key business areas\u2022 Project managing and supporting the execution of Government Affairs regional strategic initiatives\u2022 Tracking external engagements, undertaking analysis, and providing team updates\u2022 Developing working relationships with counterparts in other teams in the Executive Office and other divisions across the firm to ensure close coordination

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

\u2022 A strong academic record coupled with a 'can do attitude'\u2022 Exceptional written and oral communication skills in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, including excellent PowerPoint skills and the ability to articulate and describe complex issues in a precise manner\u2022 Highly motivated, self-starter, with first rate organizational skills, including the ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet multiple, competing deadlines\u2022 Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, while taking responsibility to drive work forward\u2022 A genuine interest in political / policy / regulatory developments\u2022 Excellent inter-personal skills and ability to work with internal stakeholders of differing seniority
